OK!!! So i decide to give it a try...

So here is my step by step. (Dont follow this, its just what i did)

New Nintendo 3DS XL (RED) Original OFW 11.0
1. Systransfer from old3ds, Fieldrunner, dump and, restore nand. etc. DSiWareHAX, formated system etc.
2. Boot HomeBrew Launcher with OOTHAX, Pre-Setup Menuhax to 9.2.0-20U
3. Donwgrade from 11.0 to 9.2 direcly.
4. First Run, error. Restarted and boot direcly to homebrew launcher, i alredy left it setup for 9.2 remember
5. Second run downgrade complete and fast ( like always happens wiith new3ds).
6. Restarted and boot directly to HBL because of menuhax
7. Run UnsafeA9LHInstaller, press Select. Done!!

8. Copied "arm9loaderhax.bin" to microSD. Boot and setup FBI installer inject.

Error : Black screen. Wont boot sysnand.
Deleted "Nintendo 3DS" folder, because was conflicted with menuhax. Done!!!

Forget this :
9. Installed sysupdater and installed 11.1.0-34U offline files!!!

So, Luma3DS, ARM9LoaderHAX, sysNAND updated.

Never was so easy!!!!!
Do you have a hardmod? If not, that was both stupid and brave.

No i don't have hardmod, but i know someone who does. All part before "7. Run UnsafeA9LHInstaller, press Select. Done!!" i alredy did at least 7 times. But instead of use UnsafeA9LHInstaller i did use "CTRtransfer" all sucess.

Now with UnsafeA9LHInstaller everything its more easy. But of course i was really scared!! And i'll do again this week, need to do some dsi downgrade

Ok, ok. I was talking actually about the part that used this alpha release. And wasn't being rude, just that since this is still in alpha state, well, you know, you could have a very expensive paperweight right now.

Also, I remember you said something about bricking a new 3DS while downgrading to 9.2. (not sure if it was you who commented that). If it is you, how did that happen? Faulty SD card?

Yes!!! was me i bricked 1 New 3DS while downgrade to 9.2. I don't know what was wrong. All step was the same like always. same prepared Files, MicrSD. All the same. It's was a 16GB MicroSD original, i alredy used it many times. But always formated before do anything.

Just that very 0,001% chance of brick. There is no another explanation.

I alredy bricked 2 new 3DS in my life. One was because i downgraded to 2.1 and browser was broken.

One question guys :
UnsafeA9LHInstaller install V1 ou V2?

This makes getting A9LH seem so easy now. I wish I had this back when I got A9LH on my N3DS. That took me about four hours. This looks like it would only take five minutes if you're already on 9.2.

>remembers i k9lh-ed my 3ds pre-plailect guide
You people and your new fangled hax. Back in my day, we had to 40 nand backups and pray we didn't write the wrong one! /s

Good job @dark_samus3 and the others! K9lh installation keeps getting better! ^^'

>remebers when i downgraded to 9.2 from a 10.3 2ds pre-downgrade methods
You people and your safe haxes. Back in my day, we had to hardmod to have any kind of security or pray we didn't randomly brick out of nothing!

I did A9LH when it first came out, back when you had to hex edit the emunand backup to manually inject some stuff (I think that's how it worked). I actually bricked my n3DS doing this but fortunately I had a hardmod already. Things have really moved on a lot since then :)

don't forget when you had to build your own installers, or have others build them for you (:ninja:). I did a9lh on all of my systems when you had to do that.

I corrected one of the first versions of the python script doing the emunand patches, then executed it over an emunand of a non hardmoded n3ds system, restored it to sysnand, checked it worked perfectly and uploaded the corrected version to a thread. That was by far the scariest thing I did on this forum.

Also compiled the a9lh for a bunch of people, not only me.

Oh yeah, I forgot that too! You had to compile it yourself and IIRC it built the OTP into the installer. I think you actually built mine for me as it wouldn't compile for me :)

I bet it was! I didn't actually see that there were python scripts for this. I probably wouldn't have used it though, as Python seems flaky as fuck on my Mac.

I still have your otp sitting on a drive somewhere, and maybe even the built 3dsx.
