Hacking Questions about A9LH SetupGoing rom o3DS on 11.1 to n3DS on 9.9

Hi Guys,

I have an o3DS on 11.1.0.34U and just recieved my n3DS on 9.9.0-26U. Now that I have read Plailects guide, I want to make sure I understand the process to setup my n3DS and transfer the data from my o3DS.

Here is my understanding so far:
1) Downgrade the n3DS to 9.2 using sysDowngrader and the 9.2 n3DS firmware from Plailect site
2) Backup my nand using decrypt9 and a homebrew entry point (I currently have freakyhax on 11.1)
3) According to guide I skip step 2 and go into installin A9LH/Luma3DS, then install FBI/HBL after injecting hs.app (finally restoring hs.app)

Questions / Possible Next Steps:
1) After this is complete can I go ahead and update to 11.1 (I think yes, but better ask)
2) Should I then do a system format at this point? Will this keep FBI?
3) System transfer?

I basically want to sell my o3DS but I have purchases/subscriptions(pokemon bank) that I want transferred to my n3DS.

Last question, is the sd less version of a9lh the one used in the guide? I can't seem to find that info on the github page.

No, the SD-less version isn't officially released (apparently it has problems playing DS games). If you want to update your a9lh then visit https://gbatemp.net/threads/a9lh-can-now-boot-without-sd-card.432593/ for the files and use https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Updating-A9LH as a guide on how to update.

If sysdowngrader crashes half way through install, then I need to change the other app payload for 9.2.0-20U from smealum website right? Reason I ask is I can't access homebrew anymore after the crash.

Also step 10 states the following:
Clear Home Menu's extdata by navigating to /Nintendo 3DS/(32 Character ID)/(32 Character ID)/extdata/00000000/ on your SD card...

Is this if it crashes?? On second try after replacing otherapp.bin for 9.2.0-20U, I got it installed successfully and rebooted all on its own.

Am I on to the nand dump? Basically are steps 4-12 just precautionary? thx for ur help!
