yes as long as your firmware is updated to the latestCan i play online after the region change?
you can use browserhax. Is cubic ninja the only way still for N3DS, if so why? Why can't we use browserhax? Unless at the time browserhax was patched and OP was never updated?
Sorted out already. It was a pain in the ass though.you can use browserhax.
if you're able to run hb, run decrypt9 and get the fat16 xorpad, go back to your old emunand install your preferred region via sysupdater,
return to hb, inject the secureinfo a of your preferred region. restart, emunand should be on your selected region.
You need a donor system to get online from what i understand. So if swapping from Japan to usa you would want a donor system from the usa. In other words, buy a 2ds. Extract info and inject into n3ds. Than inject some random secure info into 3ds, so it never goes online accidentally.Soo i heard somewhere that despite having the private secureinfo a, you still cant access to eshop on n3ds. Is that true? I am having a n3dsll white that has never connected to the internet and i think i can trade my private secureinfo a jp for another. Also, is the 3 sd cards method works with n3ds? Thanks 4 your help.
Considering how old this is,
- Would it work on an American N3DS on 9.2 now?
- Specifically, can I play Tomodachi Life (Eu/JP Legit CIA's) by changing the region?
- I'm using CFW and GridLauncher.
- I'm using a N3DS XL on 9.2.0-20U
- My sysNAND and emuNAND are unlinked.
- I go between sysNAND and emuNAND through the system settings. (Instead of booting straight to GridLauncher, it boots to a purple menu, which I believe is called CtrBootManager. This then lets me choose either GridLauncher or AuReiNand - AuReiNand boots into emuNAND.)
- I'm sort of a noob. If this was answered, just tell me and I'll find it myself instead of being lazy.~
So does this not work for 2ds? To change from european to japanese emuNAND?
2Ds was released in japan on jenuary 2016...i'll try it right now and tell if it worksThe system software for 2ds and old 3ds are exactly the same, so it should work equally well.

It doesn't work on 2DS, i tried now and the emuNAND doesn't start, it freezes on a black screen. I tried it on a New 3DS and worked perfectly, but on a 2DS it didn't.The only issue I have seen is that since 2ds lacks a slider there have been some problems with using old firmware (like 4.5 where setup includes adjusting the slider) on it. But this shouldn't impact changing emunand. And, even if something does happen you can just restore your emunand back to a working version.

Any luck with JAP 2DS?
I successfully region-changed my N3DSLL from JAP to USA a few months back with this guide (the xorpad + hex editor method). Now my JAP 2DS finally arrived at my doorsteps, I tried to change it to USA too so to make local multiplayer work among my other USA 3DS and the region-changed N3DSLL.
I have the 2DS downgraded from 10.3J to 9.2J and created GW emunand successfully. Downloaded all the CIA packs from that iso site from 4.5U to 9.2U, merged together and installed with BBM/sysupdater in GW/CakesFW emunand. However I noticed something odd - the emunand still boots after installing all those CIAs, but I haven't injected the secureinfo_a yet. After injecting secureinfo_a with decrypt9wip, I got a black screen with GW/CakesFW.
Tried different methods each time (GW vs Cakes, BBM vs Sysupdater, removing the 0004001B* etc CIA vs keeping all CIA). Every time the emunand fails to boot with injected secureinfo_a. When I restored the original secureinfo_a, the JAP emunand could boot.
Really puzzled. Any success stories?
