Is there any way to change the textures of the online battle background ? I'd love to use the one from the worlds championships final.

its more spikey in ruby and sapphire gba and his face looks diffent and his bag is white and not green
Those are textures, not models. I though people knew the difference, but who am I to judge, I'm posting in threads where people say "models are bad" but they're thinking about the animations.

why does putting x and y models in oras cause black screen im thinking maybe its because of the character customizing in x and y i only tired doing it with the playable characters from x and y though i have not tried putting Brendan in x and y yet

They're not compatible, I believe. You could try manually importing them through Ohana3DS by overwriting each of the faces with the ones from X/Y, but I don't kn ow if that works.
Most of X/Y's models are already in OR/AS, though.

some of x and ys in battle models are in oras but the ow ones arent and i don't know why their not not compable my guess is the character customizing since it is not in oras but they games use the same engine so i would not get why the other non playable charter models in x and y would not work

Now, did you actually try what I wrote in the first line?

They are not compatible because OR/AS uses a newer BCH version. The BCH parsing subroutine on OR/AS checks if the two bytes at 0x4 on a BCH file are equal 0x21 (those bytes are some kind of version compatibility number). They are = 0x21 on OR/AS BCHs, but on X/Y they are = 0x7, so the engine refuses to parse the file, and probably crashes. But in theory, models that shares the same version, like the ones from Zelda ALBW, SSB3DS and Senran Kagura should work.

My little brother's version of Shadow Lugia:

Also, I am sorry guys for not posting the texture files themselves. I tend to delete the files after I record my youtube videos. got a few request via PM to share textures.

From now on, if I do post any videos, I will include the texture files :).

Would anyone be willing to give me a quick rundown on how to open the files in Ohana? Im a bit lost on what needs to go into Garctool exactly :(

If you have already extracted the romfs content, open the program, click on container on the side bar, click open, select the garc file you wanna extract and click extract (if you wanna extract specific file) or extract all.

Then click on the model or textures and click on export all from folder.

Wait until it finished.

That will give you an idea where are the models/textures saved in the garc file.

If you wanna view the models from files extracted from garc, first look in the folder of the extracted models, look at the number in the name of the selected extracted model, go to Ohana3DS, click on model, click on open, select the extracted file from garc with the same number as the extracted model. Now the model should show up withuot textures. Its a similar proces to get textures to show up on the model, that is if the textures are compatible with the model.

Not all models with textures will show up correctly.

If you wanna know which garc file to open, here is a list of all the garc files and its contents:

Here's a custom Ludicolo texture I created. I kept the regular Ludicolo's colors but edited the shiny Ludicolo's colors as I have a shiny Ludicolo but wasn't too fond of it's color scheme.

Another texture project I was working on was a romhack for X and Y called "Pokemon 420 Edition", in which I began to edit each Pokemon's eyes so they appear red in color. It turned out pretty hilariously, especially seeing how happy and giddy the Pokemon's animations are.

Although it was a straightforward process, the problem was the sheer bulk of Pokemon that required the editing of the eye texture images. Since Ohana is very buggy and unstable on my computer, I stopped working on the project pretty quickly as I realised how long it would take to edit each Pokemons' eyes. I would love it if someone with a sense of humour could complete this project for me though; it's fairly easy, the biggest problem I encountered was needing to decipher where exactly the eye textures are when they're not a separate eye image file but instead integrated into the Pokemon's main body texture image (like with Paris and Parasect). But problems like this can still be deciphered after a bit of thought as to which part of the texture is coloring which part of the Pokemon. Perhaps someone could edit all the Pokemons' eyes to be red and also edit some of the game audio such as the Pokemon cries to something funny? I think if this were to be completed in whole it'd be a fairly straightforward and simple, yet popular romhack.
