Morning guys! I've just attached beta 29. This update improves the screenshot code. Screenshots are now rotated in processing so are saved the right way round. Both screens are now drawn in one (larger) image so you don't have two separate files for the screenshot. Also, the screenshot PNG files are given unique filenames so they no longer get overwritten when you take another screenshot.
There should be a global "Default" button in the theme settings menu and an "OK" button. If the back button is pressed of the OK button, the theme settings will reset to before you opened the theme menu. This will prevent config saving lag every time you change one of the colors and go back. Also, the loading screen should show when saving settings.

Don't think he was referring to FTBrony, as he mentioned 'System titles". Last I checked, FTBrony isn't a system title. :P
he clearly states the Ftbrony crashes for him and he has used the hide title thingy to hide Ftbrony from the launcher along with the system files that don't work as well

Bug: With the icon based settings menu, changing the "Third row of icons" setting resets the settings grid layout based on the number of icons in the current folder, causing it to show the 8 settings icons then multiple blank pages.

Could you attach a screenshot please? I'm not getting that problem here.

I would like an option to select if the .hbfolder have to be searched in the root dir or in the 3ds dir.

This because I don't like having a lot of files and directory in the root, so it will be better for me to place all the HB stuff organized in subfolder inside the 3ds folder.

Was my post invisible?
When switching the "Third row of icons" in setting menu.
The arrows of the "Wraparound scrolling" appear in the setting menu.

PS: add a door to the house. :3

Ok guys, beta 30 is up!
  • The selected app indicator is now no longer drawn on top of the grid background, meaning the corners should look clean now
  • Fixed the bug with the paging arrows appearing when toggling the third row of icons
  • Added an option to disable the water completely
  • Finally added custom wallpapers!
    • Create a 400 x 240 PNG with no alpha channel (transparency). Call it wallpapertop.png and place it in the root of your SD card
    • Create a 320 x 240 PNG with no alpha channel (transparency). Call it wallpaperbottom.png and place it in the root of your SD card
    • The launcher will automatically find the files and set them as the wallpaper
    • You may want to turn the water off in the settings so you can see the wallpaper properly
Currently, the text on the top screen doesn't look too good when on a wallpaper (as you can see in the screenshot below). Also, the grid background squares on the bottom screen don't look too good either when on a wallpaper. I need some suggestions here on how people think I should handle this:
  • For the top screen, should the wallpaper be made paler so the text stands out? Or should the text be drawn inside a translucent background on top of the wallpaper so the area where the text is displayed is paler?
  • For the bottom screen, I'm thinking of making the grid backgrounds translucent so you can see the wallpaper through them. What do you think?

How can this be still in beta stage? xD
Because the core is based off Ninjhax 2.0 and a lot of that code is broken hence why it's still in beta by smealum. This is based off that so my guess is it will stay beta until smealum says 2.5 is perfect for where it should be.

Kinda. But there are still little bugs here and there. Also, it will stay in 'beta' until I have implemented all of the features I want to work on. At that point it will go to 1.0 and the source will be released.

You know, if you put the code on GitHub now, we could actually help it get to 1.0, because we can use pull requests on it to add the different features. All the pull requests can be pulled up on one screen, where it'll show the changes, then you can easily accept them and sync the PR to your PC.

The only thing I can think of would be shadow for both text and apps on the grid.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
