I never had that issue, actually, and has long been since resolved
You quoted to the audio issue, but yah ...Hope the input lag problem has actually being solved for the Wii port..

...I experienced it myself actually ..and that's why I don't use the RetroArch Wii version for some time to play snes..

If that's actually fixed, then good! I may actually test it again soon if it's not a problem anymore

I really don't even perceive one, I play a lot of games that require quick thinking and timing, and they're perfectly playable, that, and a new version should be coming out soon, so it's still being worked on. And yeah, primarily, the tinny audio issue is what turns me off from the GX port :P Maybe Squarepusher can do a straight up Next port with the GX GUI.

Compared to the oficial VC releases , I ALSO notice a difference in input lag honestly.

Well then my opinions and suggestions are for naught, as usual. I stated my reasons I don't like Snes9x GX and yet, what's the point.... If Snes9xGx didn't have the damned tinny audio glitch and actual decent speed on SuperFX, Cx4, S-DD1, SA-1, etc games, I'd actually use it. I think people bash RetroArch on the Wii because of the "lag" and GUI.

With retroarch:
- Sometimes crashes when load game, always with detect core (some times requires power off the wii)
- At start retroarch the gui in 640x480i always (very tiny and weird size in CRT)
- Sometimes makes crashes that change all the wii in and return to homebrew channel
with altered colors and 50hz
- Not detect the original resolution and the only thing is output in 640x224p manually

You mean adding the Snes9x Next core? I wish.
That would certainly be great, but sounds like hard work. I'd bet that there would be a nice improvement if the latest versions are compiled with older GCC builds that aren't affected by the performance regressions that were predominant in versions posterior to 4.2.9

The problem with that was it was caused by porting over Snes9x 1.53, something to do with IRQ (I think?) changes, so it was reverted to a 1.52 port, also the same version as Snes9x Next. Now that has near perfect speed in every game, well, barring a few, mostly SA-1 games like Kirby's Dream Land 3. It's definitely feasible as it's open source, it would take a lot of effort though.

Yeah, maybe in the future someone could take over the Snes9x GX code, hopefully that could happen once the Wii U scene starts, new changes could benefit previous ports. The inconvenience now has to do, in my opinion, with the many forks that Snes9x GX has spawned (with features present in different builds and some not), making it so there's no definitive version for it.

Question 1. Has anybody compiled the 4.3.0 version with the previous version of the libogc, to see if it eliminates the errors from FFIII or chrono trigger ?
Question 2. If the problem with FFIII and Chrono is related to the wiimote plus. Would the community care for a version without wiimote plus, but with all of the mods?

I don't know...what errors are you speaking about? I do remember playing with a normal classic controller, before the Wii remote plus, and it worked fine, so maybe it's some kind of conflict? I'm sure the second option would be the best of both worlds. What I am curious about is, given that Snes9x Next, the core used in RetroArch doesn't use frameskip, could a standalone port be made with the GX menu?

Could you detail those bugs you mention to reproduce them here?

the bugs he is mentioning is the hard emu crash that happens whenever you enter a battle on both games.
I tried to use the libogc with the older version of the emu but my wii u pro controller didn't work at all; however the games run fine on 4.3.0.

has anyone been able to get these games to run properly with the wii u pro controller?

RA is awesome no doubt, and you have some valid points about SFX etc.
In my experience when it comes down to the frame in speed running there is no better option than to use the VC releases ( If available ) second to the original hardware.
Besides this I think RA is the most "valuable" homebrew to me. It let's us play almost every game imaginable. This is why I have hopings that EVEN RA will be better in the future on Wii.
So for fun and casual and unreleased VC games RA, everything other VC.
I would also like to mention that for GBA emulation mGBA as of now is the way to go!

Of course it doesn't. The only controller for the U working is the Pro Controller

@Zopenko
why not collab with Wiimpathy?
you guys can possibly come up with
something with more features and possibly a different GUI if you teamed up.
More features are really not needed when many bugs are still present (FFIII and Chrono Trigger, for example, as quoted by Zopenko himself), and slower performance in some games, compared to previous versions, which affect the overall stability of the emu.
