Hello! first time hacking the wii and I needed to know if I can play my wii/gamecube isos off of my 32gb sandisk cruzer glide? I know you can with an SD card but what about USB sticks what about saving?? also I'd like to know is every gamecube game playable with no freezing or bad glitches? Because I jail broke my ps3 and wanted to play some of my ps2 isos and some wouldn't boot or get all messed up which is why I ask.
well I think you have to test it ... everything I tried to play as gamecube worked right ... but Shadow the hedgehog with some bugs(but it could be the ISO :v) and I was using Dios Mios, now with nintendont, maybe don't have problens ... I think you can choose where to save as well ( SD, USB or memorycard)

Np, if I can help , I will do it hahah
Well I think nowadays you don't have to make an wbfs partition anymore ... but I'm not sure hahha, also GBA and GBA worked fine for what I played, as well haha I think with emulation n64 isn't very very good yet but is playable (actually have a lot of time I played it, maybe they updated already), I didn't tested the Ps1 one, but from GBa to the past I think it emulates very good XD

I have two tvs: crt(max 480i with component input) and hdtv. I hook my Wii in both of them at the same time, via a component splitter (the wii component to splitter, and then two component cables from the splitter to each tv).

I use this because, when playing games that suport 480p, i play them on the hdtv, and when I play games in 240p (retro emulators) or 480i(some vc n64 games), I like play them on the crt (real scanlines rocks).

I dont want to use composite on crt, it sucks. When hooked up, the wii recognizes and change the 480p setting to 480i, but dont change the 16:9 aspect ratio to 4:3.

There is a way, a hack or something, to make wii auto set the 480p/i & 16:9/4:3 settings when playing games that support it? It could be done via neek2o or something with the system ios? Every time i want to change the game I'm playing, i need to return to wii menu>settings>tv resolution/aspect ratio, and change the settings, and that sucks...Maybe coding some apps could do the trick:

Situations examples:
-If playing Wii games, all of them (I think) supports 480p and 16:9, then an auto set feature to these settings could be applied.

-Gamecube games are another history, not all games support 480p and 16:9 (I use Nintendont). Therefor these games already have option to auto setting individual games via usbloader gx options to nintendont.

-Emulators: I Like to play them all on 240p setting. The emulators (snes9x, mednafen wii, fceugx, etc) have that option (original game resolution) only if the wii have been set to 480i.

well, it deppends the way you boot the vc/emulators/nintendont I think, for the few I know, you could set at the loader (for example I use USBloader GX , it can show GC games, instaled VC on main menu and emunand, but I never messed with wii emunand ... anyway) then you select what you want to load and go to settings, there are a lot of things you can set to load just this specific item, shoud have option for screen ratio you want

For emulatos i think the option is inside the emulator options already

I have a friend who wants to homebrew his Wii u. I installed some necessary cios and got the channel running.
But he does not have an SD card and it is hard to convince him to get one. He has a flash drive so i'm trying to make
that work. I've been testing on my own Wii u, and i couldn't get it to work. whenever i went to settings on the homebrew channel
and clicked USB drive it just loaded my SD card contents, and when i removed the SD card and tried i got exception dsi. any way of fixing this
so i can finally load homebrew from a flash drive? i'm also doing this so i can have project meme on a flash drive and project m on an sd card without
the interfering.

Flash drives are very iffy. You can either keep trying them until you find one that works or just use an inexpensive HDD. Check the compatibility wiki first and make sure the one you're interested in isn't one that's known to be incompatible. (There is a flash drive list, too, but I have several of the drives listed on it as "compatible" and I could never get them to work without freezing.)

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

What is the best current way to dump my nand & set up emu-nand? My goal is to launch emu-nand channels on usbloader GX.

Just dump it with the built-in feature in USB Loader GX. It's in the Features menu at the bottom of the list.

Hey all, I just soft modded a Wii and was wondering, which would be the best controller for Wii/Gamecube games? Classic Wii controller or Gamecube controller?

Question. I recently installed NeoCorp

https://gbatemp.net/threads/poc-boot-neogamma-via-disc-channel.321110/

First version - Single Channel priiloader hack:

BUT - is there someway I can access the settings of this autoloader version of Neogamma? Maybe this can be added if pressing a button during loading?

Main reason being wanting to do saves - it allows no Memory Card of any kind on GameCube games - I'd do it in the Wii's memory - or on a real GameCube Memory Card - and third option - in the SD Card. I have tried both with GC Memory Card in - and not in.

Looks like it works great for Wii games - but refuses to find any type of Memory Card for GC games - CAN someone help me change settings on the hidden Neogamma channel so that it allows Memory cards? I have got a real GC card which is not read. That would be great too though I would prefer Emulated card - or Wii card....? Anyone?

The games I tried are Multi GC Discs. And I tried w original discs. No luck.

Second question I have is - is it possible to somehow change to custom controls in button mapping? Maybe more of a question for NeoGamma, idk, but just wanted to throw out the question to you guys in the know - what I mean - is for example try to fix the button fuckup in the Gamecube Mega Man Collection for example. (actually already got this thanks to Fix94 via a cheat code in Nintendont, so gonna see if that works.)

Hey I posted this in a thread to itself but its quite possible this is a noob question so I thought I'd ask here also... The problem with being a noob is that sometimes you don't know you're a noob, you know?

I formatted my Wii SD Card with all my folders and Homebrew apps on it. I am wondering if there is a simple way to restore the files? I was looking through the walkthroughs to try to find the exact step where I setup my SD Card but I am having little luck.

If it helps I used the Letterbomb method (I think) of hacking the Wii and I am running IOS 249, menu ver 4.1U. The Wii still launches and shows all the games on the USB Card but all my homebrew stuff is gone as well as my USB Loader GX options. Perhaps someone might toss me a zip of their files (or something, heh). Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

When I was playing a rom using vgba x and using the save and load feature, the emulator randomly stopped when I accessed the save and load feature for like the billionth time and an error occurred in which a black screen appeared with text appeared that said exception dsi occurred! And then a bunch of numbers and letters were under it and the emulator reloaded to the homebrew channel.

EDIT

Apparently the saves folder had too many files and I deleted some and when I reloaded the emulator I didn't get an error.

Hi! I have a wii that was soft modded early on but have had it boxed up. At this point, I want the ability to use wii ware, use emunand, and run wii images from and external drive.

I've seen quite a few tutorials for different methods, but what is the best recommendation for tools at this point? I can find tutorials to do each part, I just need to know the best tools use to accommodate these things in 2015. Thanks

IMHO... Neek2o to run Wiiware/VC titles and ShowMiiWads to install the wads in the emunand. Wiiflow or USB Loader GX to load Wii games from HDD, and Wii Backup Manager to install the game images to HDD.

Hiya! I have a quick question, hope this is the right place. I've soft modded (original) Wii's before, PAL UK ones, but would it be possible to mod one to basically be a US NTSC console? I don't mean like, patch ISOs and stuff to run US games on a PAL console, I mean actually make the entire console think it's American. This is so that I can play Project M on one (the Smash Bros Brawl mod). I know theres a few guides online explaining unofficial ways to get it to run on a PAL console but I get the feeling they're unreliable because the official Project M says it doesn't work AT ALL on PAL consoles.

Thank you for your time.
