Well ..... Shit has really hit the fan, now.
One of the twins pulled my laptop of the coffee table
Yeah, it smashed & it awaits my attention. FLICK !!!
I have my laptop's twin, but I need to rescue the HDD (if possible).

I'm on a friend's pc. Sorry guys. My other trial stuff is on the wait list (if ever).
Stay well guys. I will try my hardest.

ps. Just to make things worse, my mother-in-law has moved up here & there's heaps to do to set her up. My life sucks

It feels I've been away forever. Almost another life

I managed to get my laptop up & running. Bruised & battered, the display has a a few lines failing & some dead dots.
Wait for it .... Not even an hour went by, & guess what happened (again) ? The same. I just went out for a quick smoke, left my laptop at a safe, unreachable distance, but one of the twins managed to grab the hidden power cable & tug my laptop to another doom.
I was very surprised that most of the damage was very minimal. The battery-lock housing & the display were the only things damaged. I rewired the battery points to work with the absents of the battery lag.
Now, I have to go through the same crap again. Hope my HDD survived (again). Lucky I had the laptop closed (in ZZzzz mode).
I wonder if my attempts are worth it I love to repair, but time & latest technology requirements are against me.

In any case, I will end up buying another laptop. A low-end I3 just doesn't cut it anymore.
I'm looking at a R7 (Acer Ins 3). Just under Au$800, but money is tight & it will have to wait.
The twins are keeping me busy & I haven't had the time to play the Wii. I do miss playing "Hugo" the mostest. I'm approaching 65 & I really thought I'd have more time on my hands. Twins first, laptop & then back to GBA. Didn't think I'd miss GBA Wii forum so much.
