Replying to the DM you sent me publicly instead for formatting.I'm sorry to write to you directly, but unfortunately no one at GBATemp is answering me and I'm a bit lost. Here (https://gbatemp.net/threads/wii-output-is-fixed-hooray.628514/post-10113726) you discussed the following settings need to be made to produce the "best" vWii output:
evWii: TV Viewport Width/Height to 704x480
boot vWii via boot2vWii with 720p/1080p
USBLoader: eflicker set to Off (Extended) and Video Width set to Auto
My Questions are:
Did I understand these settings right?
to 2. Why should I force 720p or 1080p (this is the standard upscaling) - Couldn't I then simply do without boot2vwii?
to 2. What is better: 720p or 1080p?
to 2. How exactly do you do this?
Many thanks for your help (if you do).

Boot2vWii offers the option to force P480, P720, NONE as compile time flags. See the readme.md on the repo for details. The build I posted earlier on the boot2vwii thread was compiled as NONE. When the Wii U itself is set to 1080p, results in no video mode change, most people run their Wii U at 1080p as you would imagine. And yes, in USB Loader GX, Deflicker should be set to Off (Advanced) and Video Width to Auto. This will yield the best looking results from my testing from my recollection, and is how I generally play Wii games on my Wii U, on the occasion I decide to do so.Thank you very much, you are awesome! But I du have three more questions:
1) Surely boot2vwii only offers the ability to force 720p, npt 1080p (or is "None" to force 1080p)?
2) You are talking about "video mode" - you must mean 720p, right?
3) If you are not forcing "video mode", does that mean you are forcing "None" or that you are not forcing anything?
To summarise:
1) Install USB Loader GX on the vWii
1a) Set to Off (Advanced) and Video Width to Auto
2) Install UNEO USB Loader GX Forwarder wad in vWii
3) Compile boot2vwii to redirect to the wad (see boot2vwii questions above)
4) evWii: TV viewport width/height to 704x480
And then I have a great vWii picture, right?
