Hello! I have a Mariko Swich in which i would like to install a picofly chip. I think i can solder it myself since i have quite some experience. I've ordered a rp2040 zero and a hwfly v2 flex cable. I also have a few questions:
-Can i use 30 awg wire for install or is it to thick?
-What do i do once I install the modchip?
- Can i do it with 1.8mm leaded solder?

Answering:

-Yes you can use 30 AWG magnet wire (not cable), a thicker one is recommended for +/- pins.
-How about testing it?
-Definitely that's a no, no. The thinner the solder the better, you can't risk making bridges unnecessarily and ruin your console.

There is a ton of information in these threads :

Have you thought about what to do with the DAT0 connection?
A DAT0 adapter or the kamikaze method?
A lot of instability problems come from the DAT0 adapters.

>Can i use 30 awg wire for install or is it to thick?
30 awg should be no problem but I would recommend single coil awg wires.
Personally I prefer coil wires but that is maybe something I'm used to.

What is the kamikaze method? From what I understood I just need to connect the dat0 to the rp2040

kamikaze is for OLED model. v1/v2 you better off go for smaller awg wire otherwise too thick and easy to rip off the pads

DAT0, CLK.CMD.RST all wires required for all model to solder to rp2040 zero/tiny
