Emulation Given that Citra is now gone, what other forks or archives of Citra are best suited to use in your opinion?

A few options are there to choose from either from GitHub or elsewhere, in my case being for PC:

- PabloMK7's fork
- aidanmcb1's fork
- weihuoya's fork
- ourfavoritefruits's fork
- citra-mirror unofficial mirror fork via GitHub
- Citra Latest Builds from archive.org, uploaded by rvreqTheSheepo

And other options outside of my case...
VR:
- amwatson/CitraVR

Apple:
- EmuPlace/EmuThreeDS (publicly archived)
- EmuPlace/Limón (publicly archived)
I think Limón could still be downloaded but I haven't tested that recently yet

But which is the most recommended option?

yes, you can even reply with alternative 3DS emulators of your choice.

i didn't even know there were other forks, do any of them fix the gas mode rendering issue making stuff like monster hunter stories actually playable without the blur?
I haven't tested that at all, nor do I have that option on Citra (using an official nightly (2063) build from before it got taken down), so I'm not sure. You can try multiple given options of the Citra fork and see which one provides the best fix to your issue.

Is there some fork for the Switch? I have tried many through the years but sadly none has been a good option. Now with this, I am so confused as to where to look for it. Just want to play a couple of great games on my Switch every now and then.

Citra is a 3DS emulator, it won't run Switch games, if you want a Switch emulator, search for "Ryujinx"

If you are referring to a switch emulator, there are multiple options as well. I have intended to make a post about said options of Nintendo switch emulators that are forks or archives of Yuzu, but Yuzu-mirror and Suyu already seem viable enough to stand out, and of course the most popular archives of Yuzu.
That isn't what he is asking, he is asking about if there was a switch fork of citra 3ds
In that case, I don't think so. I haven't looked deep into the code to determine if the components used are similar or not, so the answer I gave isn't definite.

i think you still missed the question, i think they were asking if someone ported citra to the switch
Exactly. I have seen some ports over the years, but all of them were laggy and whatnot. So, some years after, I am wondering if there is a ported citra, at least 90 % working on Switch. (Even for the low memory consuming games, at least)

Thank you all for the replies.

I think I get it now but forgive me if I missed the question again from this response. The only Citra port that I know of is Retroarch with the Citra core for the Switch, but that's about it. If there was more that I knew, I would've provided them. Sorry about that.

I'm trying to find an archive of the HD texture packs that were posted on the Citra-emu forms. Anyone know whereabouts of an archive or collection?

Are there currently any ways of getting older builds of Citra for Linux, specifically the Steam Deck? My dumped version of Pokemon X works on my PC, but not on Linux.

Just a few weeks later, the DMCA takedown hasn't changed anything.
Use the latest official Citra if you want a polished experience.
Use PabloMK7's fork if you want more mod support.
etc. etc. etc.

Used to be my discord server but gave it over to a friend, used to work on forks with another guy I have quit games for a year now, but came across the news of citra getting taken down. Anyways there’s a lot of HD texture packs here.
