Hacking DS-X Downgrader

Hi,

Because v1.1.2 firmware is shit, I made a downgrader that ... downgrad your firmware into 1.1.0 version. Here is the content of the readme :

THIS DOWNGRADER USES A FIRMWARE THAT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 2GB UNITS. DO NOT TRY IT IF YOU HAVE A 2GB UNIT

Once again, amazing work Shuny.
Would you recommend downgrading if 1.1.2 is working ok for me? (beside the really slow menus etc, well, they are slow, but not slower than when I bought the DS-X 9 months ago).

Also, when can we expect your custom firmware?

Just try it ! You can flash your DS-X to v1.1.0, then to v1.1.2, then v1.1.0 etc ...

For me, menu looks faster and the best thing is that BEUP WORKS AGAIN \ o _ (And DSOrganize, in 1.1.2, froze when downloading a demo, i'll try with the v1.1.0)

For the custom firmware, I just can't do it

Because it's a simple modification of the Updater v1.2, it should work with Vista 32bit

For 64bit, I don't know, sorry

I just got Error: Arithmetic result exceeded 32 bits. Command Fail: WriteDSLogic.

Any tips?

What OS are you running ?

What is your actual version of DS-X ?

Try updating without any programs running

Tried the modified version, still doesn't work, same error on Download, right at the beginning. Disabled anti virus, tried compatibility mode Win XP SP2 in Vista 32 bit, still nothing.

The original version worked great for me. I have WinXP SP2 and a DS-X from the first batch.

Great to see something being developed by the community for DS-X. Great tool, may try it out sometime if alot of positive feedback.

Look likes your computer will not be able to flash your DS-Xtreme to 1.1.0 version :S Sorry

My tool can't crash definitively your DS-Xtreme, you'll always be able to use the official tool to reflash it in case of error.
