Activision claims that they have more remasters to announce this year

Although Overwatch 2 and Diablo IV are skipping 2021, that doesn't mean Activision doesn't have plans to release plenty of new games this year. Also stated during their recent fiscal report was the fact that more remasters are on the way. Throughout the past few years, Activision has released remasters of older game series such as Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, and Tony Hawk, and 2021 will continue that trend, with "more remastered content" to be announced before the end of the new fiscal year. Supposedly, following a merger with Vicarious Visions, which has handled multiple remaster projects for the company, a Diablo II remake is in the works, though it has not been officially confirmed yet.

No they didn’t. What they made was based on the movie which was partly based on the original PS2 game but it wasn’t the same game.
it was a reboot, the movie was based on the game they were making so it goes both ways, it was a reboot for the series, if it was good or not i have no idea but it was a new entry jak and daxter and sly cooper on the other hand do need some love imo.

A reboot is not the same as a remaster. The story between the games was quite different. For example, the character Captain Quark was a bad guy throughout the entire PS2 game whereas in the reboot he was good up to a certain point. Also the end boss was different. Dr. Nefarious was never in the series until the 3rd game and it was Drek you battled in the original.

Ill say again, a Tenchu Remaster would be class. The games are a lot of fun and it would be even better to play them in HD on PC and consoles. Imagine the PS1 and PS2 version in HD, it sounds good doesnt it. I just though of some potential games franchise that may get remastered. These are not in a top order just ones that i thought of.

1. Spiderman titles from the 360 and PS3
2. Transformers
3. More Spongebob game remasters
4. Tenchu( I can dream haha)
5. Call of Duty(hopefully the Black Ops games)
6. Marvel Ultimate Alliance( though it may be Nintendo only sadly)

I think the obvious ones to be likely are the Call of duty Games as the remasters of the other ones where fairly well recieved. Another one id say is the Spongebob games as there are a lot more than i though when i checked. Transformers is anonther one that has a good chance of getting remasters as there are some great older games and newer ones as well.

Now that it's owned by Tencent, it's gonna suck ass
Are you sure it's owned by Tencent? They probably partnered with them in order to sell to the Chinese market as required by China law. China law prohibits products sold by non-Chinese owned companies unless they partner with a Chinese owned company owned by Chinese born citizens located in China. The Chinese owned company is who submits the stuff for government approval.

I just looked at List of Activision games and I had to go back to November 4th, 2003 to find a game I want them to remaster. True Crime Streets of LA. Actually would prefer a remake or new entry in the series but in reality none of the 3 will happen.

Fuck it Crash Bandicoot 4 It's About Time Remaster.
