I've bought 3 total from them. No issues.

First one was a pre-order when they first came out. Then I bought two more a week or so ago. One standard shipping, one DHL. I've already received and installed the DHL one. Standard shipping is in transit.

Paid the preorder with PayPal. Paid for the second two with credit card.

But it really doesn't matter now since the site is down.

Psa, DO NOT BUY FROM TXSWITCH. I paid at the beginning of October and they claimed they never got my payment despite the charge posting and me sending confirmation of payment. Then they kept asking if I wanted to buy again with PayPal after id already paid. I had to engage their payment processor but I'm still gonna be surprised if I get a refund. What a joke. Also a week after buying from txswitch the card I used started seeing fraudulent activity and I had to cancel it. Go elsewhere

Wow that sounds like a disaster! I hope you get a refund. I bought from Aliexpress and used a pre-paid credit card to avoid having future scam charges on my personal credit card

For starters, you shouldn't ever use a credit card directly on a site, especially one dealing with shady stuff like this.
Secondly should have used their live chat service and actually spoke to another human. They confirmed my payment instantly after purchase and shipped the device the next day. Took less than 7 business days to arrive. I paid via PayPal and even sent it as a gift, so they could have easily scammed me but didn't because they are a trustworthy reseller.
Seems like you got hit with a mm attack and they took your credit card details before txswitch could charge you. Serves you right for putting CC numbers straight into a website.

Don't shit on a company because your common sense fails you.

Okay guys, I'm really happy.

As I said on this forum before, I was afraid of not being able to activate my SX core because I wouldn't receive in time the needed tools to solder it. So I wanted to go ahead anyway and use some tape to place the chip, generate the licence file and then activate it.

I'm glad to say I did it and it worked, and even without tape, just by keeping the chip in place with my finger while it was booting.

So now I'm doing a dump of my hand and then I'll the switch rests a couple of days until I receive what I need to solder the SX Core.

Here are some pictures:

Is there some sort of deadline? The activation servers are going to be shut down?

it will really help further sales if they can clearify that point
I bought two more chips after the news of the arrests.

I honestly think the arrests have probably increased sales because only people really following the scene even knew there was modchips for the switch. Now it's everyone who reads a tech or gaming blog.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
