Figured out it would help if I took the external HD I had hooked up on my usb bay off as I guess it was trying to boot from it.

Hi,
I got a 7116b pro and tried every (i think) loader with or without HEN and Mira.
I disconnected my psvr. I switched to 1080p and 720p. I tried several TV's and several USB-Sticks and a HDD.
I formatted the sticks always with FAT32. Using easeus or guiformat.
I nearly always get a black screen and a white led on the ps4. This doesn't change, until I disconnect the stick (then it shuts down)
Sometimes I get a Kernel Panic, then the system makes a check at the start.
Are there any further ideas ? And no, my bzImage comes without .txt
I use totalcommander...

Check that the md5s for bzImage and initramfs.cpio.gz are correct.

Format the USB to exFAT from the PS4 Devices menu and just put bzImage and initramfs.cpio.gz on it.
NOTE you will not be able to install the linux distro from this but if you can get it to boot using this method you at least know that your hardware is compatable and it will give you a good starting point to continue from.

Try with the NO-EDID Linux loader.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Also your USB Must be MBR not GPT.

I read the whole thread and i already tried your suggestions. But nothing works. I know that someone one YT got it work, so I wonder why my PS4 won't.
I already tried to start the rescueshell without an usbstick by loading a linuxbinloader which allows bigger payloads and then send the 10mb file, which I found somewhere.
Same results. USB is MBR, No-EDID didnt work either. I formatted the stick to exFAT from the PS4 Menu and tried the thing with bzImage and initram.
Unfortunatly I don't know anyone with a 7116b who got the same problems...

I tried Online and Offline solution, I tried to work with an Android device and with my pc (win10)

I tried another TV today and another USB-Stick (sandisk extreme pro 3.1). I even tried a setup with a hdmi splitter.
Always the same: Linux loader, 2Sec., TV gets no more signal, Controller shuts off, white LED on the PS4. nothing more happened.
When the stick is pulled out, the ps4 shuts down after a few seconds. No real kernel panic.
Is there a way to get the hardware-revision in the debug-menu ?
There must be differences between ps4-models with the same CUH-Number...

What's your model number?
I guess it could be something linked to the files.
As suggested to me, try to download the USB FILES from the X-Project thread (KiiWii's)
Then format your USB drive as NTFS
Copy/Paste just the image file (bzImage) and the other one (which I'm missing the name at the moment) and try to run the Linux Loader (without the psxitarch file) from the X-Project web page (No-Edid version)
If it runs (console's led should go from blue to purple) then
Reformat the USB as FAT32 (MBR)
And copy/paste the 3 files in it (bzimage, psxitarch and the other).

Honestly, as far as I know, the white led means that there is no TV Signal (the HDMI is not "read" as connected)
So I would suggest to try another TV, or set 720p as main resolution

I dont think an NTFS format will work at all.
My suggestion was to format as exFAT on the PS4 itself. This method 100% works. I've even got it working with an old 2GB SD card an memory card reader using this method.

Even without an usb stick it won't work. I tried the stick-less linuxloader from ps4gentoo with the same results.
On psxhax someone reports, that 2 Ps4 pros with the same CUH act different.
One works, while the other one doesn't (same tv and same USBstick).
So there must be something different causing this.
On github/valentinbreiz under issues are more dudes with the same problem.
I hope someone finds out, whats the problem is...
Anyway, thanks for your hints. :yayps3:

my pro is a CUH-7116b

It doesnt . It only boots in to rescueshell.

It compiles the bzimage and initramfs.cpio.gz into the linux loader payload.

I got none of the things you said (and I have an I.T. degree, shame on me)
Edit. Re-read that, now I got it.

But I've tried to do so and keeps saying "Fail" after the message "Not enough system memory"

EDIT2. Doesn't work with any of the Linux Loaders (didn't try the 3Gigs version tho, cause they say it causes problems)

Try redownloading them all again and make sure MD5 checksum match those files from site you found then try again.

I did and found that MD5 checksum wasn't matched to those files according to the site I found so I redownloaded and everything's fine.

Ok sweet.

I’d like to see this payload too :)
I'v managed to compile it myself.
The bin is 9.47MB and the converted JS payload is a MASSIVE 72MB so it is not really usable for X-Project or any other exploit menu.
The bin itself also requires a modified binloader (with extended memory capacity) to work.

@steffen83 I would still like a copy of the bin you used if possible so I can use it as a comparrison.

I'll have a play around with it and let you know how I get on.:)

Just tested the stick-less linuxloader and it worked with my PHAT PS4 (see image, no usb attached) but not with my SLIM PS4.
On my Slim the white text just flashed on screen for half a second then went to a blackscreen. (tested 4 times in a row with the the same results).
20190308_135401.jpg
I'm gonna compile the payload again using some of the different bzimage and initramfs.cpio.gz that are out there and see if I can get it working with my slim.

It is also confirmed tht you need to use a modified binloader payload for it to work. It will not work with the normal Binloader/Original exploits that are out there.

If/when I get it working with my slim I'll post the working files I used.:)

I got the No-USB Linux loader working with both my Phat and Slim model PS4s.:)
00-phat-nostick-linux.jpg Phat PS4. 00-slim-nostick-linux.jpg Slim PS4.

I have uploaded 3 different bin files that I compiled:
NO-USB-Linux-Loader-Standard_v2.bin = Compiled with the standard Psxitarch V2 Bzimage and initramfs.cpio.gz files. (Worked on my Phat and Slim)
NO-USB-Linux-Loader-More-Displays.bin = Compiled with the 'Support More Displays' beta version of initramfs.cpio.gz. (Worked on my Phat and Slim)
NO-USB-Linux-Loader-Original.bin = Compiled with the original files that where in the github Repo. (Only worked with my Phat)

If you do not have any luck with one, try another.

As I mentioned earlier you MUST use a modified version of Binloader when you send the bin files to your PS4 or it will not work.
Included in the files below is a modified version of Binloader from X-Project.

You can either use this html file as a standalone Binloader exploit or you can replce the binloader.html in the X-Project /payloads folder (make a backup first!)
If you do replace the file, you must clear the cache and then Re-cache X-Project for the new file to work.
If you use this binloader as a standalone it will work perfectly but it will not look pretty because it is ment to be used with X-Project.
Just wait for the 'SEND PAYLOAD BIN TO PORT 9020' message.

Hope this helps someome out.:)
