Now adding a FREE app for Android owners to easy launch their SX OS, check out all the official PR details below:

Another day, another update. This time it is a neat little app for Android users.

If you want an easy way to use SX OS and have trouble understanding how to select the payload, then SX Tools is for you. No need to download the SX loader payload and manually select it from the app.

Quick instructions:
  1. Install the apk to an OTG capable android phone.
  2. Connect the Switch to the phone.
  3. On the first use, the app will ask for permission to "use USB device" when the Switch is connected. Check the "Use by default..." and press "OK"
  4. SX OS will boot now.
That's it. You don't even need to open the app to use it. Just install it and connect the Switch. Even when the phone is locked, it will work.

Exactly, everyone needs to realise that not everyone who buys TX follows the scene so this may be the first they've heard of this (or any of TX's updated features)
yeah, but on their main page where you download the payload they offer links to the various ways of launching the payload one of them being NXLoader.

Everything sounds nice until this part.

Don't want something running all the time eating my phone's battery.

It doesn't eat your battery, the app basically works like a plug in (like LG phones when you plug in an ear piece opens the music app) it's basically "if usb type c = switch then payload" easy xD

How stupid a person must be to be unable to select a file? I mean that kind of person would never be able to install an apk anyway

So they steal from everyone but whom have they stolen from the xci loader?
It's like with the Gateway on 3DS; they first made rom 3dsx playable, and then came cias file. After being the only choices for pirating games, the community began to use the exploit found to start building homebrews and cfws, and then Gateway had to steal (yeah, taking the same things of another guy but rebranding it is stealing) these homebrews.
Now, change the words Gateway, 3dsx and cia with TX, xci and nsp :)

Wow, but it's not their app.
This app was created some weeks ago.

They steal the source code + the name. Congratulations.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They haslve dedicated on board chips that aren't tweaked like x64/x32 afaik
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
but its a custom os for both of them
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    designed for only specific hardware
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
so you have to learn to emulate that specific hardware which isn't as easy as you'd think
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It's a locked down Linux distro basically
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think the only custom hardware is to do with the SSD and a security chip
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Probably combined in one chip
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They place married security chips onto boards iirc

Didn't see much need for a console, all the advantages have kind of disappeared
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
the ps3 used to support installing linux because the cpu was so powerful
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Then the games are $70 and they want to reboot and refresh the same game every year
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
The ps3 was always Linux they just found a way to make it open source
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
I'm avoiding buying from the big 3 at all atm
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
At one point PC game pads where poorly supported, loading a game had setup, it was complicated. Now it's almost as easy as a console.
