Nintendo is starting to ban certs from CDN access. This will make your console useless for downloading games, updates for your games, dlc, and sysupdates. Please be cautious when using anything that access the CDN i.e. FreeShopNX, CDNSP, etc. You've been warned.

Edit: Here is some proof even Sysupdates are blocked: https://streamable.com/k623d

Update 7/30/18 : I've received news that more "superbans" are happening, please be careful!

-snip-

No need for that, it just started today. Before it was just Nintendo banning you from Online Services and the eShop.

thats new - you could still access eshop with other tools before the new security improvements - but now they do full bans which means you cant even use those tools anymore :P

They've been banning certs for a while now friend.

I'm pretty sure you can still download game+system updates while banned.

Plus it also seems like users can purchase from Nintendo's website, and then use eXhop to install them.

Edit: Striked through, because apparently people don't like it when you want to discuss/get things clarified.

Did you even read my post? I said they are banning you from CDN access, which mean no, you can't download games and system updates.

This is a different ban type, it is them stopping full CDN access.

There is only a ban for a cert used by hundred and hundred peoples.

That's how it always starts when they start doing bans. If everyone was using a bad cert, then there's only the bad cert to ban for now. When/if people start using their own, then more certs will be banned.

So basically this means banned users will have to rely on devmenu heavily, but if the said nsp game, update, and dlc requires a new firmware they are shit out of luck

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
