Hmm, never seen that issue before, so I'm not quite sure what could be causing it. If you create a CIA instead of direct installing, does installing it through FBI work correctly?
Hi! Thanks for your help Drakia! I found my issue - I did a dum dum and I actually just ran out of SD card space, so it couldn’t be installed! Looking for a good deal on a 64 GB Sandisk Micro SD Card in the UK now!

What differences are in CIAngel and Freeshop?
Less GUI/complexity in CIAngel, but less chance of things crashing/going wonky due to that.
More direct access to games on the titlekey site (Once it's there, it's available in CIAngel, no waiting for a cache update).

You won't get banned for using it, at least so far nobody has.
You can change to ticket installation mode by pressing L, and looking for "Create Ticket" in the bottom left.

Thanks.
Regarding the ticket option, apperently, for me at least only work when i use the CIA version. When i use the .3dsx version (HBL basicly) simply say to me that i have no karmel acces.

The .3dsx version does not support any system-level operations (Ticket or CIA installation), because it was built before b9s was a thing, and we didn't have that sort of access from homebrew mode.

Will it be updated in order to suport the features that uses in conjunction with rosalina?

What differences are in CIAngel and Freeshop?
On freeshop you download and install directly, no need space for the cia file. So in consequence you can install more games with freeshop, cause no need for space for .cia file, and less steps, just choose and let it do the stuff.

CIAngel does not require double space either, unless you explicitly choose to make a CIA file (something not possible with FreeShop)

hi, I just tried using ciangel for the first time ever and tried to download a title. my goodness, those data engineers at nintendo should be fired since they haven't done a good job at all.

anyway, I want to ask, is there any risk of using Ciangel? like getting banned when accessing eshop? or cannot download update? cannot access spotpass?

Nobody's been banned yet. The only true risk-free way of using your 3DS is to remove all CFW, never run homebrew, and purchase all of your games legitimately.

for some reason the CIAngel I downloaded from GIThub doesn't have any POKéMON games when I searched for them when they did a few days ago. What happened? Did I/Am I doing something wrong?
I'd recommend you use freeShop.
There's no reason to use CIAngel over freeShop, except if you want to get new games like a day or half earlier than the former.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
