Hacking Xbox 360 mod questions

hey everyone I just picked up a white Xbox 360 phat I guess from GameStop on black Friday and I want to mod it to rip game discs I buy and play them from the internal hard drive without the disc, is this possible? And if so what’s the best way to go about doing it?

It's possible, you'll have to RGH it.

You could also use an X360key (drive emulator) to play the games from an external usb HDD, if it isn't RGH'able (such as a Xenon, they're technically RGH'able but can only run linux and are unreliable as all heck lol)

You've got the possibility to get an Xkey, like TSK said.
This will allow you to play them on Live.

Or

You could RGH it.
You'll lose Live and you'll be able to rip them directly to the HDD.

Have you got soldering skills?
If yes, you'll have to get a JR Programmer + a X360 Ace V3.

Or you could take it to a modshop and ask them to do it.

i have fixed an old arcade vector monitor, replaced bulging caps in desktop computers and installed a mod chip into a original 1.6b xbox

Will do and thanks and quick off topic question, can what I do be done to a Xbox one s? Not the exact thing but be able to run games and rip games to the hard drive

Nothing piracy wise.
You can activate Devmode and play with some emulators, but that's it.

Just make sure to do your homework first. Read all the instructions ahead of time and follow them to a tea while doing the RGH process. The soldering itself isn't so bad, but you need to dump your NAND more than once (for comparison, to make sure it's a valid dump), edit said NAND dump for RGH, then reflash it back (this is super simplified the way I'm explaining it), but wherever you buy your RGH chip and programmer from should provide detailed instructions online for this.

I still have my Falcon JTAG and it works fine. I use DashLaunch's fan setting to have the console keep the GPU and CPU at 65c or below. I do not recommend running any hotter than that.
