Is that a legit AK2i?

Two days ago a received a package from nds-card (I had bought an AK2i), but my first impression was disappointed, "Dsi (XL)&3DS, Compatibble"... "Is the original flashcard or a clone", I asked myself. To begin with, I'd never seen a space between "Dsi" and "(XL)" on a single image of that card, the "s" of "Dsi" is in lowercase, plus I can't recognize the language of the word "compatibble" (with two "b"). I quickly tried it on my O3DS (bootsatrop 1.3 + Luma 8.1.1) and the 50% of the time I get a black screen error or my system didn't recognize the card... [attachment part 2] But after many attempts, sometimes I get it to work. All of this is normal.... or my card have a problem? [attachment part 3]

P.S. I already have installed TWLNAND cias, and the paper trick... but get the same, only 50% of the times my card works.

Test out a different DS game to see if DS games work at all.
Also, why would you even want a Flashcart? Saying you already installed TWLNAND cias you clearly have CFW, and if you have CFW you can play NDS games without the cart with TWLoader.

It's the firmware that loads when your playing 3DS games, using 3DS stuff, etc.
There are a few FIRMs, NATIVE_FIRM, TWL_FIRM, and SAFE_MODE_FIRM to name a few. I think there is also a TWLN_FIRM, but someone correct me if I'm wrong or missed one.
Also, Luma should patch SAFE_MODE_FIRM to be actually useful.
And don't use 3DS Flashcarts, they suck.

1. Do I really have to update? I'm still on 9.2 and I'm scared of new things!
2. What is this Ctrnand luma thingy and what does it do?
3. I have noticed that people got banned, Is this because they cheated/used unreleased games and such or rather Nintendo has an system that bans Cfw?
4. Is there a way to verify sysnands like identify their firmware?
5. Should I decide to proceed can I just destroy Emunand or does it have to be transfered to sysnand?

A lot of noob questions but I really don't want to break my 3ds

you should update and finish the guide. then disable the options specified.

Yeah, could be. Or, you might have a corrupted TWLNAND, which happens sometimes.

There is no FW 12.2.... Max is 11.6
Update to 7.0.5 (replace arm9loaderhax.bin with the one from https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases/download/v7.0.5/Luma3DSv7.0.5.7z) if not already then you can update.
