Fair enough but we (as in the majority of people the enjoy hacking Gen 6/7) have been trying to do this since ORAS came out in 2012. I personally have been searching for a way to do it for over a year now. If someone knew a method and had successfully done it, I'm 99% sure I would have come across it during my research.
I'm not saying someone might not have a way. I'm just saying if they do, or if anyone has ever done it, they have never shared even a screenshot and definitely not a method. IMO if that's the case then it remains the same that there is no way to do it. The most I have ever seen anyone accomplish with these flames is someone who combined the firesten textures from both Mega Charizards and it turned the fire a glitchy green color. But there is no way to edit the color of the fire itself. I don't even think it's possible.
Why don't you look for a video showing flame edits before you waste tons of hours like I did, looking for something that doesn't exist. If you can't even find proof of it actually being done, it lends more credibility to the fact that it's impossible.

Had free time today , so I thought of making a making a mega dragonite.
Haven't done any texturing yet, and honestly making the model was tiring enough. Hopefully this turns out good

You have to file swap the normal and the custom mega model along with the textures and the animations(8 files in total) with the corresponding files of another pokemon which can mega evolve eg: Loppuny and mega Lopunny.
you can also file swap with another pokemon which has an alternate form eg: Darminatan and Darmanitan Zen Mode. Do a little editing in the mega evolution map, text and personal stats in pk3ds and you are done.
The texturing is a bit glitched up for some reason :/ , especially around the eyes
Do any of you know how to add costum mega evolutions? i know how to add diferrent textures i just dont know how to add mega evolution. if you do know ,please dm me
