I mean why even have a limit? should just be able to have unlimited time, what else are we buying High capacity SD card for anyway? Or even the switch has usb ports? It has usb 3.0, I'm sure at some point video capture will be for flash/HDD in future. Also would have been nice to have 60FPS or is that too much? (Compared to Shield TV, the switch might be slight improved and capable of it without sacrificing any performance issues. Maybe even be able to stream to youtube or twitch directly from console like ps4/xbox one. I hope to start seeing more of the NVIDIA SHIELD capabilities in the switch, especially stuff in there since day one that take longer for the conversion. :P

They're working slow, but they're really getting there to be one of the best consoles. Now if Nintendo of Japan could stop being dicks on Youtube....

yup youd think as long as you have the storage space to record it would let you record until its full.

30 seconds is pretty shit, i can image youtube channels upload video guides, each chapter in 250 parts Lol

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

it doesn't save it to the sd card though AND you know why they won't allow a HDD to be connected :P
but you do know the 3DS doesnt even have usb ports for a HDD yet it manages perfectly fine running downloaded games from the SD card.

also we know carts are likely to get a custom flash card with again an SD card.

so i also dont know why youd want a HDD connected when you can get large SD cards pretty cheap and theyre more reliable.

Xbox also did an update to game capture.
Allowing you to connect a harddrive to the system to capture longer footage.

Nintendo, be smart and do the same

Video is buffered into the RAM at all times, reason why it probably can't go past 5 minutes at a time is likely due to them not being able to risk wasting any available RAM for games. They could fix this with on-the-fly streaming to the SD, but I can't predict if they're doing that or not.

Because a 128 GB microSD will cost ~$40-$60. A decent HDD with 8 times the space is $80.

There's hope for a Xenosaga port.

Yeah, it will have 8 times it's space... I mean, it's physical space. Oh wait, more like 800 times.
That is not portable, "and 128GB should be enough for anybody." - Bill Gates, 1981.

(just in case: this is a joke)
