yes but its a cart, so its games are not going to be absolutely massive, and whats easier to lug around, sd cards or a usb hdd which will have to be externally powered or else it will drain the life from the switch which depending on the game, drains the battery already.

Exactly, my point was it could happen, no one would include usb ports on something with absolutely no real reason. The wii had usb ports for SOMETHING (Even though it was probably not used as much) and so does the wii u, even the ps2 had them, again, it was used for something. Now I'm really eager to know what they plan to use it for, usb ethernet sound driver and switch pro controller can't be the only reasons. You don't need usb 3.0 for stuff like that.
