No...you serious?
What about The Episode 1 Racer, is that a 512 rom as Well?

Resident Evil, Pokemon Stadium 2 and CBFD are all 64 MB (512 megabit ROMs), Nintendo's emulator is spotty at best. Until the Wii U gets another emulator, it's either this or Not64. Sorry.

Okay, that one does, but the others don't handle custom microcode (which Rare and Factor 5/Capcom wrote for those other games), very well. Only one maybe two emulators in existence can handle those games. RE2 uses dynamic resolution as well, which is hell to emulate.

the version of N64 have extra features, no ?
you kidding me right? the n64 extra feature was analog stick lol and everything was extremely compressed, sounds, fmv and such while the nintendont GC version has everything, its basicay a defenitive edition since it was the last re2 retail release ever done as off yet.

Compared to the PSX yes, GCN version, no.

Double resolution, exclusive content, costumes. What did you expect on the N64? Lol the fact it ran on N64 at all was a miracle. GCN version is best, PSX version is worst.

yup it has better graphics, better resolution, beter controls and more options, basicaly the best version you can play of re2 until you get the re2 remake or you run the pc version with higher testures and rez and framerate, but on consoles re2 best version is the gc.

As @pedro702 said, avoid all other base ROMs and stick to the one for F-Zero X.
That's the latest known build of the vessel.rpx, which is the emulator itself.

All other files can be interchanged without any issue, but be sure to put the correct .ini file for the corresponding game in the appropriate folder in the inside /content/

noone of that is ever worthy of playing the inferior version imo.

The Japanese version only works on first boot, if you reboot the console and try to load it again, you will get an awful framedrop and it won't go no matter what you do. The only thing would be to delete the save for it so that the VC thinks it's a fresh boot, but the issue will continue upon rebooting, save states don't help here neither.

Debatable, RE2 on the GC only has the graphics in its favor, everything else is just vanilla RE2 DualShock on PSX.
It was a straight port of that version, the extras are lackluster at best (EX Battle is just meh).

As an avid RE fan, and being RE2 my favorite out of the series and having played all versions available first hand, I can say the PSX versions don't hold up at all. GC version is there for convenience sake, but it's nowhere near the definitive version of RE2.
I still consider the N64 version superior due to reasons, and "better controls" you mention is the N64 version who has the best controls, it has an option similar to what the RE/Zero Remasters did, so without a doubt the N64 one has the better controls out of the bunch, and the graphics hold up incredibly well. The only thing that suffers here is the background resolution and the audio, but it's nowhere near as distracting.

In any way, if you were to go for a "definitive" version of RE2, the Dreamcast one or PC one would surely be the top tiers, and the N64 one being a close second. GC comes third just for the polish in graphics and sound but has nothing else besides that.
