it's yours to keep. no account\drm bullshit.
you can sell it later, giving you some money back
a cartridge case and maybe poster, if you care about thoose
cons: you will have to swap the cartridge, but you know, in some years you can put cfw and backups~~~~

Physical.

Usually physical is cheaper than a digital download here in the UK
You can use a physical game in different consoles
Physical games can be re-sold (not that i ever do)

Most places in the UK offer free shipping, so that's never an issue here anyway. If not you can walk in to a shop as others have said. Shops are never usually cheaper than buying online though.

Game loss risk is zero for now and the next 10+ years, if anything digital is free insurance replacement
(Saves will be lost if you will need a manual account transfer, but the same is true of physical ones if replaced or corrupted)
in 10 years switch eshop is long closed and you won't be able to download any shit. all you can do is hope your sd card doesnt' corrupt to don't loose that legal digital copy...
but in 10 years who cares about the switch anyway

When it comes to games, physical copy usually always wins in the end somehow. And like linuxares said, there's something about actually holding the game in your hand. Well it used to anyway, before people switched to CDs and DVDs. They don't feel very special to hold, pretty sick of them actually.

You have to take in account that digital version will occupy spacr on your SD card/system storage and so, you'll have to spend again for a higher capacity Micro SD Card.

TBH, Mario Odyssey is not even 6GB, and considering 64GB microSD cards are so cheap lately they may give you one for your change in a kiosk (just like candy), I think that itself shouldn't be a problem.
Still so, physical has more value. (resell, put it for show in a cabinet, etc.)

Taking out my sd card so I can download straight to the harddrive.

This will save me 5 seconds during load times.
