Not sure myself.
Digital has no shipping fees and arrives earlier, but has to download. Physical has shipping costs and cart switching hassle, and can be resold, but no download to deal with.
What do you guys think?

i always go with physical, cheaper thanks to amazon pre-order discounts, bestbuy GCU, sales or clearance no need for download or sd cards, resale value.
the biggest thing for me though is borrowing games, physical wins anyways but even if you disregard everything else i wont buy digital until they can be easily and freely played on multiple consoles.

i actually got odyssey for super cheap at best buy $12 off for GCU another $12 off with a visa checkout coupon and that's not even including the $10 gift card you get for preorder or the cool coin that's like $29 total price all said and done

Physical... because cartridge, case, and My Nintendo coins.
You get more coins if purchased digitally, though.
Anyways, I'd recommend physical if you have Amazon Prime or Best Buy Gamer's Club Unlocked. Otherwise, it'll be cheaper digitally. Here's one thing you also have to consider on the Switch: storage. If you can take a hit on the storage, then go digital.

Coins coins coins. I have plenty of these stupid coins I can't even use on Switch software yet. Nintendo should let us use them NOW, not next year because time is ticking and they are on a timer. It's so fucking stupid, I'm going to hack the fuck out of my second switch and get ALL THE SOFTWARE. Fucking hell it makes me so pissed off. "Rewards will come soon." Wow, nice little morning rant there.

Since i bought my Switch on release day, I've only bought indie games digitally, and all non-indie games physical.
Love the taste of those cartridges

Same here :) GCU discount + $10 preorder coupon + $10 existing rewards. In the end, the game will be about $30 after tax.

I always go physical unless the game is only available in a digital format. If i have to import the game in order to have a physical copy then so be it.

The only game I bought that also had a physical release was Mario kart 8 deluxe because I doubt I'll ever trade it in and USPS screwed up my shipping for my physical copy in the mail and I was already on the fence for buying it digitally so I said "screw it" and bought it digitally and returned the physical one when it came in the mail over a week late. Plus it's convenient having Mario kart right on the switch to boot up when I'm at college or somewhere and forgot to bring my game carts. But honestly every other game I buy physically with Amazon prime and get that free shipping and 20% discount.
