If you don't want to, look for the common key through this magical thing known as Google. Why do I need to answer 41 questions?

Has nothing to do with me wanting to. So no need for crap responses. If you don't want to, look for the common key through this magical thing known as Google.
I'm just curious why you settled on 41. Were 40 not enough? Were 5 not enough? And henceforth and so on...Just to guarantee legality- the program relies on user input.
I might make a shortened one with a little gui soon
This program is for people that want to write guides but not say "search it on google lol"If you don't want to, look for the common key through this magical thing known as Google.
Good question, glad you asked. I'm making a shortened alternative version with only one question. On the entire legal scale, its a bit less legal, but viable.Has nothing to do with me wanting to. So no need for crap responses.

I never said that your tool was not helpful. This program is for people that want to write guides but not say "search it on google lol"
Thats a totally viable method, but some people can't even understand how to do that.
I've had at least 3 people say they can't find it.... but its right there on google lol
So this helps everyone out
Thanks. Although you still haven't answered, lol. I'm still confused. First you said it relies on user-input to generate the key. Then you say it can be done with 1 question, meaning the questions are just for legality. So which is it? Are the questions necessary or just your way of ensuring it's legal, which is complete BS? (adding a question has nothing to do with its legality. The program still does what it does.)This program is for people that want to write guides but not say "search it on google lol"

It depends on your view of what is "legal" and what is not.Thanks. Although you still haven't answered, lol. I'm still confused. First you said it relies on user-input to generate the key. Legality is according to your country's laws. As for as people thinking it's legal, there are very few actual lawyers on this site, if any. Not everybody is a lawyer yet everyone claims to know the law. What random people think != law.It depends on your view of what is "legal" and what is not.
To fully rely on user input is the "legal" way according to some.
"As long as it's not technically illegal, it's legal" is what others think.
I added a zip file to the mini version, with one question, to the main post.
It's up to you.
No problem, and no, it was not random. Basically, with the magic number of questions at 41 (you might be able to go a bit lower) NONE of the actual key is in the .zip file.So 41 was just a random number? Thanks for finally answering.
Well, thanks for an actual answer. Much appreciated. Nice work.No problem, and no, it was not random. Basically, with the magic number of questions at 41 (you might be able to go a bit lower) NONE of the actual key is in the .zip file.
You might as well post the key as a hex string, a hex string doesn't equal the original key, it's just one way to present it.Seriously, all this batch file is doing, is just asking the questions, and the answer is just the DSi Common Key...
*sigh*
The answer is the hex mentioned above. The rest of it is just confirming it and getting it into .bin format. If 41 is too long for your liking, there is a version with only 1.Seriously, all this batch file is doing, is just asking the questions, and the answer is just the DSi Common Key...
*sigh*
Did somebody ask for screenshots?Screenshots or fake! Nah jk jk. They would be nice though. This is helpful.
This is a shame for math.this is still not really legal... you're just asking a bunch of math and text questions to then do string formatting.
the only most legal way is to dump it from the console.
lol yeah i know its safe just wanted to be sarcastic good jobI can promise that there isn't a virus or anything, the batch file and included files are completely clean @Beerus
The .bat file is perfectly legal, at least as far as gbatemp terms go. This post has the full hex for it, and has not been removed, meaning the gbatemp staff does not see that it is illegal enough, if at all, to be removed. The only thing this program does is make you generate the hex, which makes the program legal. The reason why this program exists is to not have The hex directly in it at all. The program is totally legal in gbatemp terms. I'm not talking about any country's specific laws at all, for the record.this is still not really legal... you're just asking a bunch of math and text questions to then do string formatting.
