Does the issue of having both a Wii U USB drive and nintendont USB drive hooked up still a thing? I have both my Wii and GameCube games on my external USB hard drive connected to my Wii U. I'm thinking about giving Wii U hacking a shot and read that you can only install Wii U games to a Wii U formated drive. I know the first post mentions that it's not officially supported but does anyone have both drives hooked up and working without issue? Thanks.

I'm far from an expert on the field, but I see no issue with using two USBs at the same time, one for extending Wii U storage and one for homebrewing. I think it's very unlikely something like this would actually harm your system (as long as you're careful and do it correctly!), so I'd suggest you just give it a try, and if it doesn't work, you have your answer. :)
And PLEASE don't hesitate to correct me if I'm wrong.

Is it (still) true that if you change emulated memcard size, it corrupts all your savegames? I've had it happen to me a couple times before I found out you can actually let the games save to physical memcards :$

Also just disregard my advice on the dual USB thing. I know close to nothing about things like that

Not sure if it's valid still, but it's possible you could corrupt your storage apparently?

Yeah, but if you scroll down further you can see this:

Nintendont doesn't find my games when I have two drives connected
Nintendont mount only one drive at launch and doesn't test another one.
Nintendont mount HDD in decreasing order (port3->port2->port1->port0) and stop on the first connected HDD, even if not a compatible device.
Note: since v2.230 Nintendont is using IOS58 to mount HDD.
Some HDD are reported not compatible anymore, while other non compatible are now working.
Just test your drive and report to Fix94 if v2.229 worked and 2.230 stopped working.

Nintendont crash when I have a WiiU Hard Drive connected at the same time
Change the port of your drives.
Connect WiiU HDD to port 0 and the hard drive with your gamecube games to a higher USB Port.

You may require to use cIOS d2x v10-alt (beta53) if you want to list Gamecube games from an external loaders. v10-alt is required to access port1 with cIOS.
Alternatively, you can enable IOS58 in your external loader to list Port1 instead of installing cIOS.

Remember that Multi-HDD is NOT officially supported.
You should just disconnect your additional HDD and keep only your gamecube games HDD connected when using Nintendont.

So after reading that I am thinking if I install my Wii/GameCube drive in port3 and my Wii U drive in any of the others then I should be good. If I remember correcrly, my Wii drive has to be plugged into the top back port of the Wii U which it is and has been working great so far. Does anyone know what port number that is?

Hello! Sorry if this was already answered, but I'm playing Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (European) and it works fine, except for the color. Is it because I have a US Wii?

I'm using the latest version of a American Wii, playing a European version of Paper Mario: TTYD.

so the game doesnt show up on the nintendont game list? make sure you dont have hidden extensions and have game.iso.iso.

it has been working since day 1...

Remenber only the first CC model has analog trigers, classic controller pro and the laters one only have digital ones.
My vanilla CC has analog triggers and when playing Super Mario Sunshine he doesn't run with fludd

D'oh... so that was the problem. I had it named "game.iso", but my compy already recognized the .ISO extension, so I renamed it to just "game" and it works now.

I played my Melee for a while, and although it did crash after I tried to change Samus' color, I think it's working just fine. Thanks for the help.

make sure your running latest nintendont version 4.437.

also make sure you dont have forced settings or wierd settings like log and osreport to on, some games dont like being forced to do anything.

is it an official controller? or one of the many fakes/3rd partys?

Your not an expert for sure :P , this is an very old issue, its not a matter of harming the drive is a matter of nintendont trying to mount a wiiu formated drive and failling wich crashes nintendont i heard some people found a way around this by putting the fat32 drive on a earlier port and the wiiu on the latter port, not sure if it works since i dont have a wiiu formated drive at all.

or the simplest way is too disconnect the wiiu formated drive and everything will work :P

well analog trigers work you can test on luigi mansion and ssbm too to make sure yours is working, i dkn if latter revisions came with digital trigers to save money or not, i know mine works.
I tested it in Super Mario Sunshine where you need analog triggers to run while using fludd

just tested right now at this exact moment and i can run and shoot water on sunshine on nintendont using the original CC.

so there is two things
one your not doing it correctly and holding the triger too much.
2 your CC is fake or your wiimote and is sending signals to nintendont saying its a CCpro, or simply has digital trigers altogether.

When I try to leave a gamecube game, pressing the power button on a PS4 controller does nothing. Does anyone know what I need to do, its becoming a pain in the arse having to turn it off by the power button all the time.

Thanks

Or the Wiimote is 3rd party/fake.
