Do the two game directories look similar, like they both have a list of .app and .h3 files?

Open a command prompt on your PC, put your SD card in, and run this command: (substitute your SD drive letter)
Code:
pushd y:\install & dir /s title*
Copy the output and paste it here.

no, I purposely labelled them completely different. The directory is listed this currently:

d:/install/botw
d:/install/mario

Some odd reason, wupinstaller sees mario but doesn't see botw, but both games came from NUS through uTikdownloadhelper.

So I'm at a lost. Anyone have any ideas?

Yes. Stop using utikdownloadhelper and start using Wii U USB helper. It avoids many corrupt downloads issues that others can't.

I'm sorry that my question wasn't clear. I wasn't asking if they had similar names. I wanted to know if you see similar content in both of them, which is why I mentioned the .app and .h3 files.

That doesn't look like the output from a dir /s command, but maybe someone else can make sense of it without any information.
start using Wii U USB helper
This^ and be sure to use the program's Copy To SD button instead of trying to copy the folders to SD manually. WiiU USB Helper will take care of removing incompatible characters from the folder names if you let it do the work.

ah good to know. Does it matter what CFW you're running? like IOSUHax or Mocha? One thing I liked about uTikDownloadHelper is tells you which game requires CFW and which don't

No, it doesn't matter. WiiU USB Helper not only tells you which ones need CFW, it allows you to filter the game list based that criteria, along with region and title origin (like WiiU Disc, WiiU Download, Wii, NES, MSX...) So if you wanted to never have to run CFW, you can uncheck "CFW games", leave "Legit games" checked, and click through that list, knowing that you can use all of those without dealing with CFW.

Yes, I use WUPInstaller y mod for normal installs. I don't need a gui, and I know that all wupinstaller really does is pass the selected path to the system install function and show progress. It's not doing the actual install, so there's no real benefit to having anything elaborate.

thanks man, you've been a great help. You wouldn't happen to know anything about New 3DS XL hacking would you?
No problem. No, I don't have one, although the XL might be almost big enough for me to see.

(Try to keep in mind that you're posting in a 238 page thread that probably has a few hundred people getting notifications when you add a message to the thread. You have to stay kind of on topic. Even a Thank You, though appreciated, is best communicated by just clicking 'Like' on the message that helped you out - those don't send notifications to everyone :) )

It's wupinstaller. WUDs are disc images.
You do need signature patching to install un-owned DLC or to run a game on which you've installed un-owned DLC.

So do this...

...or, if you only have a couple games that it applies to, just run it (once per bootup) before you run one of those. If you forget, you'll just get a message that your DLC is corrupt. Cancel that, run Mocha, and you're good.

...or, as you're saying below, go with Haxchi. Please don't jump right into CBHC until you're comfortable with what you're doing. It's only one extra click to start Haxchi manually.
No, you don't need to remove anything. The browser exploit is only temporary anyway. It doesn't change your system. Also, you'll need to use the browser exploit to start HBL to run the Haxchi Installer.

Side note: Keep in mind that you have to legitimately buy one of the compatible DS games from eShop in order to use Haxchi as it was intended. (some people try to use a fake-signed downloaded copy) Using the browser hack to load Mocha, as Mr Objection suggests is free. (but you need an active network connection for that)

Yes, you can transfer wupinstalled content as you would eshop content.
Thanks, also I was wondering if I install games legitly from wud installer, would I be able to install DLC's through wud installer as well just like patches when I have haxchi installed?

It's wupinstaller. WUDs are disc images. As long as what you mean by having haxchi installed is that you have executed its sysmenu function and returned to the WiiU Menu, then yes, you'd be able to install DLC using wupinstaller, just like games and updates.

In case it wasn't clear before, you can have CFW active when you install or execute titles with legit tickets. You must have CFW active when you install or execute titles with fake tickets. If any of the three components (Game/Update/DLC) was installed with a fake ticket, you need CFW active when you run the game.

So DLC's come with fake tickets right, so would need to run CFW. I was thinking maybe DLC's could be only played on unencrypted games via Loadiine which I wanted to avoid so good to know that it doesn't.

If the DLC comes with a ticket from your downloading program, it will be fake. You do need CFW (specifically, signature patching) to install un-owned DLC or to run a game on which you've installed un-owned DLC.

Don't install games you already bought officially on eShop with this method. it will replace your ticket. You'll have to delete the ticket manually and let eShop reinstall a clean one.
I feel retarted to ask but how do i actually do that?

If I own Mario Kart 8 original digital on the internal WiiU memory, and I download the DLC through WiiU USB Helper and install it on internal memory too: can I run the game without Mocha aka does it boot up original because I own the game?

Second question, if I leave my original MK8 on the internal memory is it possible to install a 2nd Mario Kart 8 + DLC that comes from WiiU USB Helpder on the external USB HDD will it show up as a second MK8 icon or will it conflict the WiiU and it'll just pick one of the two to boot/have only one MK8 icon on the dashboard?

Btw, I know you need a legit eshop game from the store and I have installed Dr Kawashima's Brain Training, since that game would be used to replace with Haxchi, could I get another copy of the game installed so I could still play it?

If your talking about downloading Brain age with WiiU helper & installing it along side the Brain age that has Haxchi, As long as it not the same region it'll work. If its the same region, Then No... It'll overwrite Haxchi, Even worse is that if you had CBHC installed to legit Brain age, Then tried to install the same Brain age title to see if it work, It would 100% brick your WiiU.

Only way to do it would be to download a different region of the game you installed Haxchi to & install that along side it. I wouldn't risk it though... Just incase you decide to install CBHC or Haxchi & forget which one is which & end up bricking.
