Hm. Tried editing save file of cartridge version Disgaea 4. But when I import the save again, the changes do not seem to be reflected. Upon backing that up again, indeed the changes I made are reverted to the original value. I have made sure that I didn't forget to save and such. The raw backup/restore works just fine... just that changes don't seem to be applied for some strange reason. Restoring and backing it up immediately after seems to retain the changes, so something must happen between opening the game/loading the save file....

Anyone know why? Pretty new to this Vita stuff so I am wondering if I am missing something trivial. Using latest version of Vita Save Manager.

I hacked Disgaea 4 not long ago and put my findings here. Do a basic search for it or my posts. BUT, I hacked the NON cartdrige version, cartdrige may have the saves backed up on itself for checking for corruption. And when it sees something different from what it should be, it is reverted. Use the downloadable version for hacking.

my findings mention stats and mana of chars. You can easily go beyond what I posted to go into the item world or steal pringer x equipment.... but, equipment losses the point with high stats. So... mind the hacking.

I explained how to find the DMG by quoting your old post in my previous post which explained how I got it.

P.S Btw,I think you can change it around 25000 to get higher dmg since if you put it higher like 99999,the DMG stats would get bugged out.

I wish someone could find the item offsets for weapon slot.




One more thing,

You can get 999,999,999 money by changing the value of an item in a shop.

First, go to weapon/armor shop.After that,choose one weapon/armor price and look for it in gohanMem.

I recommend you guys find a high price item to get the result easier.For example,Wedding dress from the DLC(3,000,000)

After finding the offsets,change the offsets value to 0 and purchase it.

Next,go to the "Sell" option in the shop and look for the wedding dress selling price.

Look for the wedding dress selling price offsets and boom!,change it to 999,999,999.

And sell it. BAM! You succeeded in achieving your dream money.

Though,once you achieve 999,999,999 money in your inventory,do not sell more item since it will change your money to 0.



P.S If you try and change the amount of money you got in your bag,it wont stay and will only fake it.
So the one way to get your dream money is by following my steps.

Hey am really confused . what are we supposed to search for in gohanmem? I hve gravity rush and hve 486 crystals how can i search it using gohanmem? I get the hex and all but finding the 486 and editing it is troublsome.

I found out you can use the db that comes with RinCheat SE for any version of the game if you just change the file name of the lua to the version you're using. Only has save editing for max GP and max plastic right now. Stats or parts would be great.

Edit: The max plastic codes can get your stats maxed, but it will take several applications.

More Edit: So it looks like there are coding errors in the lua that leave you with less plastic than you could be getting. I've corrected and tested, here is my version of the file that properly gives you 9999 of each:

So I'm trying to hex edit my Chaos Rings III translated version save, just my ML at this stage. I have 1117 ML, converted it to hex (little endian) value of 00 00 5D 04, and searched for it in both the SAVEDATA0030.bin and SAVEDATA0031.bin files that both Vita Save Manager and Rincheat save exporter gave me, but found no results Can anyone help / suggest some offsets I could try? Editing in gohanmem has also come up dry, no changes. I'm happy to upload my saves if anyone wants to have a look, I'm curious now lol

How do you know what the hex numbers equal?
E7 seems like it would be a higher number than 59, so I do not know how that works at all...

Also, for some reason editing the first party member's stats gave them negative 65526 MP, and did not affect their VIT, AGI or LUC stats (those stats were several numbers past the offsets).

successfully modded Killzone Mercenary save, so it's really hit or miss on encryption from the developer.

The Cheat Engine "Open file" method also works great for easy values.
