The funding is definitely well deserved with releases this frequent, this big, and with quick hotfixes. Love this emulator!!! :grog:

Especially given the Wii-U is super dead all of a sudden, like zero games coming out, production stopped and suddenly you can barely even find them in stores. That was quick. Thank god exzap/team have saved the day and preserved this great library of games for generations to come.

So, mostly the Launcher launches for me in 2 seconds or so. But sometimes it takes a long time, I just had a launch taking 20 seconds or so. You said the Launcher automatically detects newly added games so maybe that's why (though I don't understand why sometimes it takes long and sometimes it doesn't - I didn't add any new games).
So maybe it would be better not to have it search automatically on every start but only when using the config. I mean, how often do you start the Launcher (a lot of times) and how often do you add a new game (very seldomly). Just a suggestion, though. Maybe the sometimes slow starts have another underlying issue, anyway.
Apart from that, everything's perfect for me (well, maybe the launcher could remember the order of the tiles, because it didn't when I upgraded now... not so important, though).

Works same speed everytime for me. The only thing that may slow it down is a virus scanner (try adding it to scan exceptions)

The launcher does remember order of the tiles. But i did change code on the new version so that's why it didn't transfer over (mainly to avoid software crashing).

It would seem, for me at least, Twilight Princess HD requires "Cycle Based Timer" to launch.

Edit: huh that's weird, despite the profile seemingly being set to Cycle Based for it I still have to manually change it in the settings for it to launch.

Edit2: fixed it, the gameProfile file for the US version of Twilight Princess has the wrong Title ID on it, simply change the file name from 0005000e1019c800 to 000500001019e500.

I don't have an all-time-active anti-virus scanner. Those things are worse than viruses ^_^
Hm, maybe then it's because my roms are on a HDD that's not used for anything else so sometimes it has to 'boot' it up first.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

DKCTF has a lot of artifacts in 4k, runs perfect in native resolution

any fix for that?

Shouldn't have any artifacts. Do you have an AMD graphics card... those are said to produce artifacts in some games. The only issue graphics packs unfortunately produce in this game is with the water being gone.
Also make sure you have GPU buffer cache accuracy set to High.

Lovely how good it is already!

I have a small problem: Although the emu works flawlessly at 60FPS, I have stalls up to 1 sec. They seems to appear everytime something new on the screen appears, like a particle effect, new character etc. Is this due to disk loading from the rom? Will it be better if I move the rom to a ramdisk before starting?

No, that's shader cache compilation. But luckily, since 1.7.0 we can all use the same shader files... we cannot share them here but you should be able to find places on reddit or whatever. Putting such a file into the shaderCache -> transferable folder, you will only have some waiting time the first time you start up a game, after that it's smooth sailing (until using a new cemu build.)

.

Yes probably what is causing it. But shouldn't make much difference unless it's a very slow hdd or external.

Maybe try changing power plans to prevent disk idling etc.

Hey Guys, i have you question i have installed Cemu and have the newest Crimson Driver 17.2.1.
When i start Mario Kart 8 it won´t load the Game it only stuck at the Mario Kart Screen.
When i install an older Driver (16.8.3) it works, is there a workaround for the newest driver?
What is is the newest driver that works?

My System Specs are I5-6400/RX480 8G/ 8G Ram/Win10
Im running the game by starting the Turbo.rpx.

THX for your help

Got same problem here, it won't load on latest Cemu here anymore.

I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though

@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves

It does that when I edit a post.

do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
