Guys please.. just download the v1.3 HBL cia and get the 11.3 payload.
If you continue to have issues, please install latest hourly build for Luma

Only follow the old method if you're having troubles with the new payload and launcher.

11.3 payload: Here
v1.3 HBL CIA: Here

This keeps getting asked, so here's a little guide so those on CFW don't have to wait for updated payloads.
This can ALL be done via your 3DS, no computer required.

> install Luma Updater cia
Open FBI, go into TitlesDB, download "Luma3DS Updater"

> Open the newly installed cia and click "Install latest hourly build"
> Go into FBI
> Navigate to SD>hblauncherloader
> Click on "OLD-11-2-0-35-TWN.bin" (It may say something different for you)
> Rename to something like this "OLD-11-3-0-36-TWN.bin" (Of course leave it as your region/3ds model)
> DONE!

Freezing?
If it goes through all the normal checks but hangs, this isn't your fault, it just takes a few tries sometimes.

This works great. Doesn't work on Luma 6.6 but Latest Hourly works like a champ. Thanks for this.

This is usually how is done with people who already have CFW. But people who do not may be waiting a long time for it. :)

TWN was just an idea of how to put, I own a USA and J only :c but it works on both systems as well as my boyfriends and sisters 3DS now.

All else
Just make sure you're on the LATEST hourly build from within 20 hours ago, and then rename the payload, literally just remame the payload to match the 11.3 update as if it was a payload
Maybe it only works on my o3ds because my cfw by default is a dev console, idk, im busy with other stuff to pay attention
But I can confirm it works on n3ds with Luma just fine

Smea said within the week, also by the time 6.7 Luma comes out we womt need the 11.3 payload regardless, so why wait?

Not trying to be rude, I'm just genuinely curious, though if you feel like waiting then you dont need hbl that bad but I want to know why a cfw iser in general would want unless you program, and in that cae they'd get it done now to do so xmx

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds

It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
