So I have been wondering what is a great flash card for the NEW 3ds xl to get? Or is there a program that is like freeshop?

I am pretty new to the 3ds flashcards and etc. Help please!

just follow https://3ds.guide/get-started and you can get freeshop

follow this EXACTLY and do everything it says or you can brick your console or run into other troubles

Even if freeshop was permanently down, and EVEN IF Nintendo made it so that freeShop, ciangel and the like would never function again .. Why on earth would you think the only alternative is a flashcart? It's not like freeShop is the ONLY way to get games .. Having CFW lets you install CIA's to your console - you don't need freeShop to do that for you. There are "iso sites" where to acquire these cias from .. But, use freeShop though as it's better/easier unless you want custom roms or games that are not in the eShop (such as Kingdom Hearts).

Ok cool. Whats the chance of getting banned by Nintendo if I use freeshop?

A simple search would've told you this .. but it's 0%. freeShop is eShop, but free. The games are downloaded directly off Nintendo. Because of the way their infrastructure works, and because .cia games do not have header, a CIA game is indistinguishable from a purchased game regardless of whether it is purchased or not. This applies of course to also games you acquire from "iso sites" and the like.

...yes?
Guide tells you what firmwares are supported as of currently, which is all of them.
I looked at the guide that was linked and it only silupports up to 11.2.0 not 11.2.5

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Should've not told him  If he can't even bother to look it up himself he doesn't deserve CFW :P
I did not realize there's a rule against asking questions? Hmm I guess I had had the wrong idea what threads and forums are for

There's a difference in needing help and in being lazy. For your information, 11.2.5 does not exist. 11.2.0-35 is the newest FW right now. Which is shortened to .. 11.2 .. which the guide states being exploitable.
