I just got my copy of Freakyforms Deluxe in the mail today. Should I follow Section 4 of the DSiWare Downgrade plailect guide for my N3DS XL being stuck at 11.2 or just wait for Slowhax/waithax to bring full support for it until release?

Slowhax/waithax will never support 11.2, the exploit it used has been patched. Follow Section 4 of the DSiWare Downgrade.

11.2.0-35U otherapp payload.

The only rare random bricks were caused by OTP less and since the cause couldn't be determined and fixed it was removed from the guide. Now, the only bricks are due to user error. If you do exactly what the guide says you won't brick.

Thanks again! Makes me worry less, but there seems to be some random errors in some cases from what ive read. People claim they did it by the book, but maybe not?
And there is always a risk when youre modifying a console ofcourse. It just seems like there are some unexplained bricks out there, but as you said, its probably the users themself screwing up something they didnt oversee.

Yes - if you don't, the FBI injection using the files provided in the guide won't work (but you can use universal inject generator or my tool that runs it to make your own file)

It's the most dangerous step because IF something goes wrong, you won't have a backup of your NAND.

If you see a post where someone randomly bricked who wasn't using OTP less, please tag me. I'll either explain how it was user error or be interested to see :-)

Problem is, I don't actually know how to obtain these folders. Clicking the links takes me to a blank page, when I try to copy it only lets me copy the link, which doesn't work like I said, and I tried dragging them to the SD Card, but it appears as a weird icon and I can't extract it or anything. Anyone know what to do?

I'm guessing you're referring to the torrent links?
You need a Torrent application such as uTorrent to download the files.
Click on the links after installing whatever Torrent application of your choice and it should re-direct you to the application and prompt a location for the download.

The only problem with this is that it can get updated, and sometimes following the current guide with outdated tools is dangerous. If you tell me where you get all the parts I'll add any that I don't currently have downloading automatically each day, and fix up my download page. The zip will update automatically each day. (Actually I never got automatic zipping working and had to zip it manually, which is why there hasn't been anything new for the guide download in a month or two - but I'll work out how to fix it and have it do it automatically)

Just create it if it's not there already. Go to the folder that is bigger (that's likely to be the main one you use). You can do it to both if you want, it won't hurt anything, just make things become unwrapped

Just checked out my brand new o3ds (small unfortunatly ) I got it very cheap on black friday though. Interesting enough its on 2.1 already. So Ill guess this will be a walk in the park. Was planning on selling it or return it since the N3ds xl is indeed much superior. But now im thinking to arm9lh that one aswell, training and id assume it'd be an attractive console when im done.

Also ill get a hang of the process etc except from the downgrade part that is that wont be needed.

Do I just skip to the arm9lh installation right away?

Or should I do some kind of NAND backup first? Decrypt9? the 2.1 ctrtransfer section?

I'm using a different program it's like H2testw.

Also just to recap it's still possible to do a dsiware downgrade as long as you have a dsiware game with the save, a 3ds with cfw?
