Yes, loading sigpatches let you install and play DLC and eshop only titles. It shouldn't affect you already installed titles.

*and vc titles.

OMG guys, I need a new HD then... :wtf:

I've read that someone suggests to format real nand once rednand is created to unlink the two systems (to avoid bans?), in this case if one applies patches to the real nand format is not required then.
Malicious hosts are already filtered by my home DNS, online play is working now, once sig-patched will it be affected in any way?

Sorry if these are dumb questions for you but I've read lots of things around and need to clarify some points, ty.

Unlinking nands is useless, dumb, and just speculation. As we know right now, you do not need to unlink nands.

I just tried to set up haxchi 2.3 to do cold boot hax well I compiled dimoks lastest cfw coldboot is it normal for it to freeze when launching it from haxchi it freezes with the screen iosuhax

No. Did you make a copy of your original system.xml and rename it to syshax.xml?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I use ftpiiu_everywhere all the time so the program couldn't be the problem more likely something else. I'm just jesting at the fact how everyone says its super safe even thought people are bricking just by moving the title into a folder somehow lol

Nobody has bricked by moving the title into a folder. That was just a myth that started after one dude said he bricked and the last thing he did was move the CBHC title into a folder. He said that he never even rebooted to confirm that it worked in the first place. He either did something wrong or his NAND just happened to corrupt itself during the CBHC installation or during a previous write operation. People tend to assume that whatever they were doing at the time is what caused their console to brick.

I didn't mention anything about you being poor and working hard for years! that's unfair man. I respect anyone that works hard and also what you do for the scene, in a bigger way than you could imagine, its just your attitude about saying "better go fuck off" when I was just trying ask in a respectful helpful manner I don't like

Another thing I work my bollocks off more that you would ever know so please don't talk to me about being poor and working hard in life to get somewhere! I have earned and deserve the life I have and fuck me I have earn't it!!!

To stay on topic. The brick we had yesterday was just an isolated issue right? the system should not brick unless you delete the DS game where CBHC is installed through the console itself instead of uninstall CBHC first. Am i correct?

Without knowing the exact details who can say exactly why he bricked? As I said above maybe his NAND just took a shit during the install process or sometime before. There was (still is I suppose) a problem where consoles with defective NANDs were getting corrupted during write operations. Super Smash Bros was heavily blamed but really it was just what a lot of people were playing at the time. Maybe he screwed up. Maybe there is a chance that it can brick when something just "goes wrong" and the user is not to blame (I kinda doubt that though). I think you'll be fine. If you want to be extra paranoid you can make a NAND and OTP backup. Then you could unbrick with a hardmod. It's not like it's an $8,000 smart TV. Fuck it, just do it.
