As the thread title implies. Short version is that I currently have a new main as an n3ds non-xl here. Arm9 running, luma as the primary, but managed to import what was necessary to have Gateway 3ds as an alt payload when I need it.

Among the reasons for wanting an n3ds (besides improved homebrew) was the ability to broadcast gameplay that could be captured for streaming. I understand that feature pretty much requires NTR CFW. Now, would it be possible to enable that as an alternative payload as well, ans basically load it whenever I am ready to stream? Or to put it another way, does NTR have to replace luma? And should it be the latter, is it possible to preserve a way to load GW support the same way I can now?

Last, but not least, where the heck do I get it? The FAQ thread here does not list where to find this NTR CFW.:wtf:

Be a damn shame if there was a sticky....

I don't list NTR CFW because it's not a CFW. NTR is a plugin that runs on top of a CFW. It can work with all CFWs.
If NTR CFW isn't "CFW" then wouldn't be better to drop the CFW from is name? Or just call it the a (Insert name of actual CFW here) in this case Luma plugin or something?

I mean i guess not since only the creator has the right to do such things not just anyone else. But least it be clear and make more sense to whoever is talking about it. :teach:

It actually is now called "BootNTR"
NTR CFW actually was a CFW like PastaCFW. It was later turned into a plugin

So does "BOOTNTR" Work with Other CFW or just luma? If it works with just luma, it should just be called "LumaNTR" or NTR luma so people know is associated with luma cfw. I mean it just makes things easier if it was in my opinion. We already have enough confusing names for stuff not just in hacking and cfw but real life in general that makes me hate the english vocabulary. :ninja:

BootNTR is NTR CFW, it's a plugin that works with all CFWs because it simply runs on top of your current CFW.
NTR CFW used to be a standalone CFW, but later became the NTR we use nowadays.

Technically, Luma and Corbenik aren't CFWs anyway, but oh well.

I use Corbenik, NTR works fine with it. It's not restricted to any specific CFW.

But where do I get NTR? And how do I use it? again, said sticky doesn't even list it, and my attempts with google actively refuse to show me where I can download the damn thing.

Of course it doesn't. It is an add-on, not a CFW in the same sense as Luma or Corbenik.
Get Astronautlevel's BootNTR, get the NTR.bin file from the original repo (I don't think ntr.bin is included with astronautlevel's), place ntr.bin at the root of the SD, install BootNTR and you're golden. Just launch bootNTR through your 3DS.

Okay, I got bootNTR cia installed. got the ntr.bin in the root of the SD card... but, nothing. It does some address bumps, but seems to just give me an error and say to press the home button to return back to Luma. However, not seeing much of anything to actually well, help me figure out what to do next.

Trying to upload the picture I was able to take with the error, but GBATemp absolutely refuses to accept it, insisting it's too large.
