I'm having some strange problems. First, it doesn't save any of my settings. Second, when I return from Nintendont, some settings are missing and I can't launch another GC game, it complains about the game being on HDD, even if I could launch the first one straight from there.

Update your loader.

nintendont, it's very easy :

- download nintendont homebrew and extract it to your SD : sd:/apps/nintendont/boot.dol (meta.xml and icon.png if you want to launch it from HBC too, but it's not necessary if you only want to launch it from USBGX)
- Top menu > 4th icon > enable display of gamecube games
- go to USBGX > settings > Loader settings > Gamecube mode : Nintendont
If you use USB, You need to use the first FAT32 partition on your drive. It now works with primary, logical and GPT partitions. (if you have an exFAT partition before FAT32, it will use exFAT, but USBLoaderGX is not compatible with exFAT so it will conflict. format your first partition to FAT32, 32 or 64k/cluster).

that's all.
The games should be located in USB or SD:/games/<game title> [<GameID6>]/game.iso

example :
usb:/games/Zelda windwaker [GZLP01]/game.iso

if you don't know the gameID, just use the title, but be sure to not use 6 letters. (ex: games/LUIGIM/game.iso is a bad name, the loader will think it's the TitleID and the game cover will not be found for that ID on gametdb).

Sneek, it's a little more complicated as you have to generate the needed files yourself.
I made 2 tutorial, one using Modmii, and one doing things manually in case modmii stop working.
I might replace googlecode URL to sourceforge one day, if google close it completely.

tuto 1 : using modmii
tuto 2 : doing it manually

But that only cover compiling neek or neek2o.
to setup neek(2o) in the loader, please follow this tutorial. That tutorial explain what emuNAND is, how t osetu, has both neek compiling tutorial linked when required.

Hey Man,

I want to say thank you for your help. I feel that USB Loader is finally catching up with Wiiflow on this end. Previously, I used abz master pack but I never like the "flow" of the system (pun not intended). With USB Loader I do really enjoy that and now sneek with the nxswitch integrated that returns you to regular nand its amazing. But i have another question. Is there a form to run lets say SNESGX from USB Loader and run the game and then when i exit go back to USbloader gx?

EDIT: Also how can i get to my ini so I can config the usb loader from my pc. I wanna do all the paths and all that stuff...

No clue if this issue has been reported yet but a quick google search suggests it hasn't. When booting GameCube games with Nintendon't redirect WITH the bios set to on will cause the loader to hang on the GameCube logo. Booting through the application itself doesn't have this issue. The games do boot without the bios installed. I don't know if this is an issue with how USB Loader GX is detecting what to load and stops after loading the bios and handing off to Nintendont but that's my guess. My workaround now is to leave Autoboot off in the settings but I'm guessing the easiest fix would be an option to ignore iplusa, iplpal, ipljap, and segaboot files when booting GameCube/Triforce apps. Unless @Cyan thinks this could be fixed entirely.

I had this issue too while booting gc games with the bios enabled. I didn't reported it because i tried it months ago and i simply disabled it, then i forgot about it.

Where's this BIOS option you are talking about?

Worked fine for me just dumping the files on the root of my sd card and also usb since I have a bit on both.

Only option I change from default for nintendont in usbgx is enabling the led.

If you put iplusa.bin, iplpal.bin, ipljap.bin, and/or segaboot.bin in the root of the drive your games are on you'll see the bios of the GameCube/Triforce before the game loads. You can also use the memory card manager, clock, sound options etc. in the GC bios.

Correct. It boots up the bios, the one with the gamecube booting animation and the cube that rolls and become the GC logo.Other than the clock, options and memory management Pressing Z provides too the sound change with the baby laughs (or the Ninja sound if pressed in all 4 controllers) like in the original Gc.

Yeah, you were saying you had the bios set to "on" somewhere.
Just wondering what options you had been changing?

Just putting the bios files on the root of the drive works fine for me using usbgx 1263, and the ciso branch of nintendont.

Maybe just try updating everything and changing your settings back to default to see if it comes good.

I think hes experiencing the MC creation issue.
Try to use the "mod" that fixes it and tell us if it's any better. You can find it over the nintendont thread. Just look for it.

*Edit* here you go https://github.com/GerbilSoft/Nintendont/raw/v4.428/loader/loader.dol

1263?? When did that happen? Does it fix the "supposed" bugs/issues 1262 had (which is why I didn't get it)

1263 was just a switch to tinyxml I think. Dropped dol size by about half a meg. Nothing major.

Can send you my copy if you want. Made a few minor personal changes, but functional ly the same as official.

I disabled the bios putting them into another folder XD

Wait, i tried right now and everything works fine, as i said i had that issue months ago, now works flawlessly. Using Usb Loader gx r1262mod (the one with plugins) and Nintendont 4.425.
Maybe he is using some older versions of Nintendont, Usb loader Gx or both.

Yeah, as sideskroll said I'm guessing you didn't have memory cards created, or changed their settings at the same time. Ciso branch of nintendont will (should) fix that.

Uploaded my build of 1263 as well if you want it. (Reloads Game list after downloading GameCube covers and some other minor annoyances like Saying "Download or cancel" instead of "Images found. Yes or no. lol)

This is/was an issue with Nintendont. A pull request is in their queue to fix it but FIX94 hasn't had a chance to evaluate and integrate it yet. You can either use GerbilSoft's interim build someone linked earlier or revert back to < r403 of Nintendont in the meantime.

r1263 currently only contains a switch from TinyXML v1 to TinyXML v2. It's not a bug fix only a module update. :)

The Bios wont load if a PAL alternate iso is loaded, it happens with Nintendont alone or trough usb loader gx, i think is a Nintendont issue.
It happens with Harry Potter Sorcerers's stone ITA/ESP, Beyond good and evil ITA/DE, The lord of the rings the two toers ITA ecc. ecc.
It seems that it doesn't recognize these isos from any region, probably because of the different title id.

@sideskroll what is the MC creation issue? I use a real 64MB Gc memory card for all games except individual emulated memory card for JAP saves that corrupts real US/PAL memory cards, so probably i haven't noticed it, because the MC management with real MC works great trough BIOS.

@Cyan i've found a bug. When using the included homebrew launcher every homebrew is doubled, i made a photo.

Memory card issue was to do with getting hung up on some drives creating the virtual card.

What's in your app folders? Pretty sure usbgx will show every dol/elf it finds, not just boot.dol like the homebrew channel.

No problems for me with my drive.
Yes usb loader gx shows every .dol founded into sd card, even boot.dol that i hided from the hbc putting them in a folder that are different from sd/apps (outdated homebrews that i keep only for notalgic reasons but i don't want to be showed in hbc because i have too many of them).
The problem is that every dol that should be displayed is displayed two times.

Yeah, can't seem to duplicate it on my end using 1263. Even tried switching to Italian to see if it was a translation thing....
