Is there any way to use the card slot as storage device for wiiu while hosting the exploit files via openwrt... Found something but it requires soldering and reflashing the device.... :(

@toastytwo: Unfortunately no as it seems. The OP and I looked a bit into this stuff but it seems soldering is the only solution.

@airp: What exactly is the problem? Did you connect the ZSUN storage as a network drive?
Then just hold SHIFT und right click into the folder, click "open command line here" and type
Code:
mkdir (or md) .update.

@panther666: I've used a 128 GB card in mine which worked just fine but now I'm using it for my 3DS. You don't need a big card. It's just to flash OpenWRT. Afterwards the card isn't recognized by the ZSUN anyway.

Thanx.
I know, that i can use built-in memory to use zsun as hotspot, but i want to use it for as wii u flashcard too! ;)
You can put this string: echo 1 > /sys/devices/virtual/gpio/gpio21/value
into /etc/rc.local
and use it like wii u memory card...

So you've got the ZSUN on your Wii U with OpenWRT, running an exploit from internal memory's www folder while having the inserted micro SD card as a USB device for vWii?

I have ZSUN inserted in my WiiU, running an exploit from internal memory's www folder and have the inserted 8GB micro SD card as a USB device for Wii U!
And now, with Brazilian method i want to change my 8gb card to 64 or 128 and fill it with wiiU games... :)

Thank you man!!! :yayu:

Also found this useful, as it's explaining the sd usage with openwrt to some extent:
http://www.coyne.nu/blog/2016/04/25...b-on-a-zsun-wifi-card-reader-running-openwrt/

Actually OP had the solution right under his nose, as he posted a link to the blog originally :D

FYI:
The Guleek USB sticks, that are more commonly distributed in EUR than zsun, work like a charm.
Have a Guleek stick myself and had zero problems flashing openwrt! Seems like just a rebrand. Maybe useful info for the first post...

Ok, for anyone still tinkering with this:

I've added "echo 1 > /sys/devices/virtual/gpio/gpio21/value" into etc/init.d/sysfixtime since it's the highest priority script on openwrt boot.
This way I could shave off ~5 seconds for the USB device to be recognised by wiiu and now it's ready when the wiiu main screen shows on boot (quickboot on gamepad turned off).
With rc.local the device wasn't ready in time and the wiiu gave me a warning about connecting usb devices when powered on.

So brazil style usb and homebrew via webserver with only one usb stick doing both is working perfectly fine! :yay:

Welcome! I flashed ZSUN this method: https://wiki.hackerspace.pl/projects:zsun-wifi-card-reader:factory-update, during the firmware everything happened as it should be: light ZSUN quickly flashing, then lights up constantly, but then indicator was flashing, but he continued to be lit for a long time until the end, until I disconnected the Zsun. When I put Zsun back to USB, the indicator lights continuously, and WI-FI unavailable. This microSD card is detected on your computer properly. The microSD card appeared .update folder (in the screenshot). WI-FI does not work, what to do I do not know. Tell me, please, if anyone knows how to fix this situation?

Can this be used to redirect any website/bookmark accessed from the Wii U browser, without having to manually type in the address? (Step 8 in the first post)
