The post about rxTools makes sense because Luma + the apps ending in 9 can do everything rxTools can do but better. However, there are still things Gateway can do that free CFW can't. It may seem to you that these things are not worth the money but that doesn't mean everyone shares your value on things. You shouldn't force your own opinion on others. When it's factual, fine. But when it's clearly just opinion, then no.

For example, I don't think much of jewellery. I can't understand why someone would pay $1,000 for a cold dead rock that does nothing useful. But I don't picket jewellery shops trying to convince people not to go inside because it's a big trap and they're going to waste their money. Obviously other people see something of value in it that I don't.
Cheating can be done with NTR and rom loading can be done with Sky3DS

Flashcards in this day and age where handhelds have external memory support just isn't feasible anymore.
I believe the Sky3DS is a plug and play flashcard?
It's perfect for the majority of the nincompoops who know nothing about pirating and hacking (who shouldn't pirate in the first place imho) but eh.

Anyone with a bit of knowledge knows that flashcards are outdated, certainly on the 3DS where a CFW offers a fuck ton more.

NTR debugging sucks. Gateway cheats are clearly better. Maybe not $80 better, but better nonetheless.
If you create your own plugin, you have a lot more functionality than Gateway's limited code types.
But for the end user, you can just convert Gateway codes with @Nanquitas converter

until there is a similar or better on 3ds cheat finding tool that gw gives us, i'm still using my gw...

i don't worry about the politics, just the features :D

i use a9lh and luma and gw on the same 3ds, same nand... i have it all.
and the op doesn't.
There is a NTR plugin in the works that allows you to create Gateway dumps, and then search for cheats using the dumps. It's however a pain, but it's still useful if you don't own a Gateway.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.
  • Veho @ Veho:
There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
