what vwii doesnt work with usbloadergx and wii does?

I have no idea, man. I know forwarders have issues between the two. I'm just posting what people have reported. :)

Almost nothing in homebrew is documented so it's like trying to sort through spaghetti to find a single piece of minced garlic. :P

I can find no information on the "proper" way to launch one homebrew app from another. All 3 current loaders have different code. Do you shut down USB or not? Do you de-initialize the filesystem? 'Tis a mystery!

i can tell you its BS, the only diference between vwii and wii is that vwii forwarders need to be custom made due to some changes and ios need to be vwii custom also due to the same changes but everything else just works perfectly and there is no diference between usbloader gx support on vwii or wii with or without nintendont (well except you need y cables if your hdd doesnt have its own power supply).

It's entirely possible that the IOS differences are causing the problem. I can't replicate it as I don't have a Wii U.

It could very well be user error. You know how hard it is to extract details from people to help sometimes.

Yeah it's still working for me, too. Cyan hasn't mentioned that he could replicate the issue either but he's been busy with RL and Loadline I think. Maybe it's time for a new Wii loader. :D

i have a white wii with gc-ports and for me gx is working fine with nintendont.

funny is i've got two hdds; one with gc-games via loader ios 58 and one with wii-games via loader ios 249. i tested it and it worked; both were powered on and i switched the corresponding loader ios in gx, resetted gx and so i could change hdd-access without powering off one of the hdds . and it seems as if wiigames and gamecube games work with both hdds on at the same time.

Can anyone help me out with Nintendont for WiiU?
i've been trying to play my Timesplitters 2 .iso
and the aspect ratio is all types of messed up and shows the image half-way off the screen, all the other Gamecube games i have work perfectly and in HD but for some reason Timesplitters 2 just doesn't wanna show up properly.
i've tried different roms like the Europe one and the USA one from emuparadise but it does the same thing?

First of all there is no Wii U version of Nintendont. There is only for Wii and vWii. Second Nintendont doesn't display anything in HD as the Wii and vWii can't display that.

Also you did not post any of your Nintendont settings nor how you are loading Nintendont or your setup. Without any of that we can't really help.

Video should not be set to NONE and video width should be left as default as it can cause issues with some games.

The latest version of USBGX works fine with Nintendont!
However, starting with Nintendont builds from June 18 up to the latest, these won't work with USBGX for me. See here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/startin...ndont-crashes-wii-u-vwii.436328/#post-6574947

If you use USBGX latest version and Nintendont version from June 11 you are fine.
Thanks dude, I will try it and get back to you. Like I said, I'm not interested in the latest dev builds, I really love USB Loader GX!

video should be set to auto for default 100% compat.

But yeah the width option is very imcompatible with some games, it even stright up crashes some games avoid using it if you have any issues.

if i use a ps2 dual shock (usb controller) with an another usb device (Kingston data traveler) Nintendont works?
the only limitation on nintendont is not using 2 usb controllers at the same time, a flashdrive or an hdd alongside a usb controller works fine.

I'm not quite sure what to do with the forwarder in the OP.. How do you install that?
I downloaded YAWM, and made a WAD folder on the root of my USB, but I'm not sure what to do from there, and don't want to brick my vWii. What iOS do I install on? Am I missing something crucial?

if its the vwii fowarder all you have to so is isntall it with any wad installer, remenber you need to make sure it says Vwii wad.
