Who even uses Health & Safety? All it does is sit in a folder or on the far part of the home menu to collect dust. No, it's not essential.I just went through the long process of installing Arm9LoaderHax and what-not. Everything went okay, except I forgot to back up my hs.app earlier on.
Is it essential that I have a working Health & Safety Information, or not really?
Oh, cool. I was kinda worried it was that notice thing that appears at the beginning of NDS games/some GBA games.Who even uses Health & Safety? All it does is sit in a folder or on the far part of the home menu to collect dust. No, it's not essential.
That's completely different. That's part of the games themselves, iirc.Oh, cool. I was kinda worried it was that notice thing that appears at the beginning of NDS games/some GBA games.
FTP? there's ftpd for the 3DS. for mac, you could use filezilla or something.Guys, is there an easier way to transfer files to/from the microSD card without having to open the back cover every time? I know there is microSD Card Manager but that is for Windows only? (I have OSX)
Nice, thanks! Will definitely use that.FTP? there's ftpd for the 3DS. for mac, you could use filezilla or something.
oh ok. ty for that. mind if i pick your brain again?? its alot of info so here we go. how do i install fbi?? and do i need emunand for the fbi to be used? oh and how the heck would i go about getting into the eshop on 9.2 firmware?? my hubby was asking so i wanted to cover that too. oh and what can we do with i think its called cfw?? i seen that somewhere online today, playing around with ideas online. basically readin hacking into for the 3ds. lol. im such a geeky nerd t find this entertaining. but idc. you like what ya like??Use the menuhax installer. Select config within the program and follow instructions.
DsiWare downgrades one part to 10.4 [the part that blocks system downgrades] - and yes browserhax should work after the downgrade.I'm curious. If I downgrade my N3DS to 10.4 via the DSiWare method, would Browserhax work again as a Homebrew entrypoint since it is supposedly downgraded to 10.4?
I think explaining cfw; will cover most of the questions here:oh ok. ty for that. mind if i pick your brain again?? its alot of info so here we go. how do i install fbi?? and do i need emunand for the fbi to be used? oh and how the heck would i go about getting into the eshop on 9.2 firmware?? my hubby was asking so i wanted to cover that too. oh and what can we do with i think its called cfw?? i seen that somewhere online today, playing around with ideas online. basically readin hacking into for the 3ds. lol. im such a geeky nerd t find this entertaining. but idc. you like what ya like??
If your not using a9lh, you need emunand, to use fbi.oh ok. ty for that. mind if i pick your brain again?? its alot of info so here we go. how do i install fbi?? and do i need emunand for the fbi to be used? oh and how the heck would i go about getting into the eshop on 9.2 firmware?? my hubby was asking so i wanted to cover that too. oh and what can we do with i think its called cfw?? i seen that somewhere online today, playing around with ideas online. basically readin hacking into for the 3ds. lol. im such a geeky nerd t find this entertaining. but idc. you like what ya like??
You use emunand9 to make back ups.Someone remind me: is it better to use Decrypt9 or Hourglass9 to make backups of A9LH sysNAND so that when restoring a backup, we won't lose A9LH?
If you are using homebrew, There is ftp programs you can use for it. Also the Microsd card manager works as LAN if i am not mistaken. Other than wireless capiable, no there is no simpler way.Guys, is there an easier way to transfer files to/from the microSD card without having to open the back cover every time? Browserhax work on all firmware from 9.0.0 to 11.0.0I'm curious. If I downgrade my N3DS to 10.4 via the DSiWare method, would Browserhax work again as a Homebrew entrypoint since it is supposedly downgraded to 10.4?
Remember that using chain payloading with holding buttons on boot is how those programs are loaded. Is not necessary to use homebrew loader to open them anymore. Just remember what button does what, check the assigned function in the Luma/payload folder on the sd card.I have installed a9lh and now I am trying to upgrade my SD card. First I have tried to install Emunand9 by adding the files from the 3ds folder to my SD card and the trying to open Emunand9 from the homebrew launcher. however Emunanad9 will not launch when I try and instead I just end up back on the Homebrew menu. What am I doing wrong?
Edit: I worked out I can launch it by holding y on launch
Its normal just follow da guideI am trying to follow the Plailect guide from start to finish and I am currently stuck on literally the last step of Part 4 (downgrade to 2.1.0), and I am afraid to proceed without asking for some assurance.
After having everything proceed swimmingly right up the very last point of that part of the guide, I get a black screen rebooting into sysNAND with the sd card inserted.
The guide suggests that "if you get a black screen, boot with the SD card removed then reinsert when you see the home menu". I do just that and it appears to boot fine.
I tried rebooting again with the sd card inserted thinking the above suggested action would correct the problem permanently, but it continues to give a black screen whenever I try to boot with the card inserted.
When I reboot without the sd card and then open a random application, upon trying to exit it to return to the home screen (note that the sd card is now reinserted), the system freezes and only a hard reboot with the card removed rectifies this.
Is this expected behavior, or do I have a more serious issue to contend with?
Do I take it that I can continue to proceed with all the steps laid out in Part 5 of the guide as long as I boot without the card, and to insert it only when I get into the home menu?
Check this https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/w...-stage-1-failed-and-validation-stage-2-failedI was installing A9LH in my n3ds but when I clicked One click setup it gave me stage 1 and stage 2 failed. Should I start again the whole process?
