Hey, I have CTRAging in my O3ds 1.0 NAND (as far as I can see it in Hxd the data sectors look like the one in the OP so I know it hasn't been overwritten) but I am having the same problem as @Voxel Studios When trying to use FFF :T

I'll try to find a workaround

@PabloMK7 Both the N3DS and N3DS XL have the ticket. Still not working on XL though.
Do they have the same setup?

Yes, they're both running A9LH/Luma. The only difference is that my XL has the Gateway payload installed as a button combo.
Edit: The XL has a hardmod, but I don't see how that could interfere with the app launching.

Also have a N3DS XL with Luma (A9LH). I open the app either from the Home Menu or DevMenu and it just boots into a black screen.
You need to hold down the Start button as soon as you launch the app, then keep it held down for a while.
The tool has that Mario Kart music or it was added by the OP on his video?
It's part of the tool. You can find it under the audio test section.

It has the MK64 title screen music throughout the tests without editing.

Interesting that it works for some people and not for others. Could working and not working users check with FBI if the ticket for it is present?

Wait.... repair???? Maybe Nintendo installs ctraging in repaired consoles too!!! If that's true. People who have recently repaired his/her 3ds may be lucky :P
I had a 9.2 console, brand new replacement from the nintendo warranty and with a NAND backup taken with GW when it was released (45 days aprox.) and there isnt anything.

Found an entire file browser, already this AGING test is much more advanced than the original NDS version!
IMG_1448.JPG
You can access it via Misc Menu > File Viewer. It has sections for Rom, SDMC, NAND, Data, and Twln. NAND and Data seem to show empty windows though. It even features a hex reader, text and image viewer!

When opening a file, there are options to open as hex, text (apparently not implemented yet in this build), bitmap, 3D bitmap, or numbered bitmap.

The file browser is nothing compared to other stuff :P there's a whole config menu. Also, you can read/dump your production log, that gives some interesting info, for example when the cpu as first powered up at the factory

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
