I put it in SD/luma/payloads/x_uncart.bin
that one sounds right...what did you name the default one? I think Luma3DS might need the default one? Should be named def_payloadname.bin Also, you aren't holding L or something like that when trying to boot that one are you? Someone was doing that earlier and for most of the payloads that isn't neccesary (unless you're talking R, Select, or A).

Oh, and I should ask...have you tried anything other than uncart? Some versions of uncart aren't going to work...there are updated ones that will though. Older versions of Decrypt9WIP won't work either for reasons, so make sure you get the most recent release.

Yeah I have, I'll just wait for the next release or compile from source

gah, I knew I should have refreshed. :P It's pretty baffling, it sounds like they probably SHOULD be working for you.

Kinda ruined the whole "noob-proof" part :(
I just realized I didn't ask you specifically, what is the behaviour of Luma3DS when you're trying to load the payloads? Does Luma3DS just boot up (instead of the intended payload), or is there a black screen or something...?

Well anyway, I'm going to bed, but if the behaviour is that Luma3DS is booting up the home menu, make sure you're holding the payload button BEFORE you press the power button to turn on the system. The timing is really tight, there's very little time to press the button.

Not sure if anyone suggested this, but maybe add an optional delay that's toggleable in the config options? That way we don't have to break our fingers or drop our 3ds while loading a payload.

Latest a9lh noscreeninit fork from aurora updated.

Changes: cleanup. Update with safe a9lh installer, put the files in the root of sd card and launch safea9lhinstaller, update it, done.

I just wanted to know why it wasn't working and a fix for it.

that sound's legit, never worked for me in emunand(gba/dsi)until i've melted sys and emu in the A9LH process, but the unwrapping gift or games out of folder without any reason pushed me to unlink again and now i'm more happy ;)

The region/language emulation bit doesn't seem to work for me. I've followed the instructions and put JPN EN in the text file associated with the title ID for the game I'm running, this causes the language to be Japanese. If I delete this text file, the game is in English.

What are your payloads named?

def_d9.bin, x_emunand9.bin and y_uncart.bin

Its not mentionned, but aurora deleted some line of code one time, because decrypt9, emunand9, etc... where updated, and Luma doesn't needed those line to make these payload to work. So ... update your payload to their latest version :P

Its really weird but when I use L+start on boot I can get decrypt9 to work, no luck on the others though. Will check if I have the latest files

EDIT: Updating the payloads worked. Sorry about all the trouble, was just weird coming from an aureinand build that works to luma3ds where it stopped working. Thanks everyone

The name of the bins shouldn't be more than 13 letters long including ".bin"
