I have a top IPS, bottom TN XL for circa late nov/early dev australian launch, gotta say, seeing a bottom IPS feels unreal ^^ (I'm so used to the bottom TN one)

not gonna complain though, had my friend's launch euro MM3D XL to setup for like a week, both TN screens...yea.. :|

still weird to me Nintendo takes some much time to full switch to one or the other.

Not all, i have 2 of them. One is both TN while the other one has IPS top

based on the pic that you posted your bottom screen is TN, in your pic the color of the top screen is more vibrant (IPS) while the bottom screen is washed out (TN)

I will! But it releases in mid-april. So I get this new3DS LL in late april I think.

What is the best way to remove the screw covers on the top panel? Without destroying it

Not sure if it's the best but I use a very sharp exacto knife and go between the cover and 3ds and push the cover up.

Man, how do you remove the hinges? Im stuck on that part now. I removed the plastic that is covering the "status" light indicator.. do I just push it?

I used a very small screwdriver and pushed the pin out through the small hole on the side of the light.
