If the ability to simply brick the clone cards is indeed possible, then I all the more agree with the thought that what they are doing is inexcusable. Of course in this line of system altering you shouldn't be too shocked that such crappy shit can happen, just sucks to actually see it practiced, as I said, Gateway should only focus on attacking the competitor's cards that are clones of their own, not the individual user, why should a user's entire system be made useless? Does gateway honestly believe that if they brick your system via a clone card, that you're going to go put money down on a new system and then go purchase their flash card? The thought of that is ridiculous and baffling, you can't bully the consumer into buying your product, just keep making the best product you can, and you'll still make your money, and, as an added bonus, public opinion of your company won't sour either. I mean, you don't see Coke poisoning the Pepsi supply because they believe Pepsi ripped off their beverage.
