That's very neat. I actually got oothax working with the offline installer I that exists on page 10 of the thread called "oot3dhax_installer2: Second-degree *hax for OoT3D". As I found out though an initial Internet connection is required for ironhax. I had forgotten that. At least I got oothax working so I can look into other entry points for my 2ds

I have a New 3DS on 10.3.0.28 US and according the the sploit_installer-0ot3dhax my OoT3D cartridge is 1.0. I can installed the OoT3DHax, but after it is installed i cannot make a new OoT3D save file. When i try to the game crashes. It tells me -- "An error has occurred. Hold down the POWER Button to turn off the power, then turn it on and try again." --

Is there any way I will be able to OoT3DHax on my 3DS here and still be able able to actually play OoT3D as well

I could be wrong but at least from what I've read when using hax 2.5 with OoT the hax is so large that there is no room for a save... what I did was backed up my save with the save manager homebrew so I can put it back after I get another exploit installed. Thus only using Oothax when needed.

you need another exploit to install it
you'd be best off getting cubic ninja which you can use on any firmware

EDIT: How do I load the 2.5 hax installer..? the only files in the starter pack are an smdh and an xml... help? On 10.1 o3DS looking to try to test it on another system...

EDIT2: nvm regot stuff from the starter pack and it works, issue?? resolved

yes but you will need to use the homebrew launcher to start up the game in the first place so its really pointless

It doesn't matter, is for a friend who has an european 3DS.

This is already installed the emunand by rxtools.

It most likely is, but I don't know anything about Rxtools or emunand, I only understand simple homebrew launcher stuff.
You'd be better off asking on another topic or making your own topic.

I was successful installing OoT3Dhax, by rewriting the save date with GatewayLauncher(another hacked 3DS).

Admittedly, I'm a bit confused when it comes to getting this working.

I was using Browser hax with 10.1 and haven't updated it since the 10.2 update. I just realized I had OoT:3D, so I started to follow some steps to get the ball rolling, but nothings happening yet.

I replaced my old 3ds folder on my memory card with the new one linked on the first page, and dropped the "themes" folder and replaced the boot.3ds file with the new one. I downloaded the OoT offline installer and placed it inside of the 3ds folder, then downloaded "otherapp" payload (and renamed it) for my 3DS verison and dropped it into the OoT install folder. From there, nothing seems to be happening. I'm not sure if i missed something or did something wrong.

Oh. I also have an old 3DS. I could really use some help if thats possible with this. ;;;

To use OoT hax with no current working "entry point" to homebrew channel on your console, you need to first get a way to install the "raw save file" associated with your console to the cart with either a Gateway card or a Powersaves dongle.
If you don't have one of these, just putting the save file on your SD card won't work. Glaze over <a href="https://gbatemp.net/threads/oothax-powersaves-file.402554/">"this"</a> thread for more info.

1.) Download the 'homebrew starter kit', which now includes the exploit installer.
2.) Drag the contents of the .ZIP file directly to the SD card
4.) Follow the steps to get Ironhax/Ninjhax/Menuhax/Rumblehax/WHATEVERhax working and back up your OoT3D saves. (You can use this if you'd like.)
5.) Go ahead and launch OoT3D, and as the game is booting, hold A, B, X, and Y. This will bring up a prompt asking if you want to wipe the save files. Go through with it, and wipe all save data. (Remember, this can be restored later if you want.)
6.) Exit out of OoT3D, and load your preferred exploit again. This time, run the OoT3DHax installer.
6 1/2.) Follow all of the onscreen instructions. Mostly everything should automatically detected, so just give all of the options a quick glance before progressing.
7.) If all goes well, the payload should successfully install.
8.) Restart the system and boot up OoT3D again. There should now be a savefile named 'Haxxxxxx**********...' which extends past the screen. Go ahead and start that one.
9.) Click any of the menu buttons, interact with anything, play the ocarina... basically do any action to trigger something.
10.) The Homebrew Launcher should load up, now with *hax 2.5!

I have a problem in the 6º-7º steps. When I Try to install and the installer tries to download the payload it fails. I can get the payload from the Hombrew web, but I don't know where to paste it or if that would work. Can anyone help me, please?

You can.
Have yo be careful you are doing the right thing though, but if you are already on oot3dhax *hax 2.5 for 10.1, just download the otherapp payload for 10.3 on smea's website, name it payload.bin and put it on your SD card. Then you can go in svdt, delete the payload on yoir cartridge with (X), then copy over the 10.3 payload.bin with (Y)

Naturally, it won't work anymore until you actually update to 10.3
