Im currently unable to launch "Dr. Kawashima Brain Training" using the latest version of loadiine and was wondering if someone could assist me? I took "[Wii U VC DS] Dr. Kawashima Brain Training EUR" and extracted the contents into a folder on my sd card. Inside the code folder (sd:\wiiu\games\Brain Age DS\code) I added app.xml and cos.xml that was shared by eclipsesin. I launched loadiine properly using the exploit and then loadiine itself and am able to choose the game via the menu. However it freezes the console if I launch using miimaker and gives a dsi exception if using Smash with server enabled. Am I missing something?

I'll try that one. That game is the one I'm using though and it works. I may have messed up the XMLs, but I'm pretty sure I didn't.

The XMLs in code.zip match the XMLs I'm using for Final Fantasy III (DS) rom replacement. So it's not the XML persay.

@greenvalor7 open the content folder. create a new folder named "0010" (without quotes), copy files and folders from original content folder here and try again.

Funny question is; how possible would it be to be able to actually use the meta folder with loadiine in future? Currently, meta.xml aside probably, the electronic manual cannot be utilized as the original title overrides that, and the original boot splash is not being displayed either; since we have to get through original game's boot before it. All in all would be interesting if there is a microchasm of change for that. Some people would hope complete haul so online would become a possibility or something but I am a sick heck; I just want the small things like splash screens and manuals to work. Would love to go through the electronic manual of Project Zero.

I don't know if IOS is needed.
maybe it's not needed, and just "switching" the titleID in memory could be done to allow online (we tried, it didn't work, but there are maybe other places to edit as it still have ssb in memory), or IOS could help but be optional (like patching the network functions), or IOS is required to edit the current game's ID.
we still have things to try.
Currently we are focusing on a GUI.
one step at a time ;)
...
we will still work on fixing online. we need time.

I appreciate the work of all the people involved with the development if loadiine. With that said, it sounds like a mistake to prioritize a GUI over actual functionality like online. A GUI is just a "nice to have" polish. Not having online play actually makes some games not worth playing...

I supposed they want to wait until Nintendo patch the "hole" that the exploit use to work, more firmware compatibility i think, if they release the 5.5 exploit now Nintendo will fix it in the next update. It's better if they wait and keep working in a EmuNAND option

Don't worry, they are working very hard to make all this possible, all we can do is be grateful for all their work and wait until have more info about the exploit

That's the DLC (add on content) folder, right? or at least, it's the folder's name.
Virtual console are using DLC purchases instead of full titles?

Im having a bit of a problem with loadiine v4. First i run the loadiine kernal exploit (works fine btw) then i go back to my web browser and run loadiine. when it loads i get to the screen where it says press a to install loadiine i press a and nothing happens its frozen on the press a to install loadiine screen. I have tried pressing the home button to exit but still no go i dont know how to fix it. It does not freeze everytime sometimes it works and i can use loadiine just fine. Does anyone know of a fix it would really make my day.

I'm curious as to why Loadiine only works with 5.3.2 vs 4.1.0 or any older Firmware that's been exploited?

Cause that's where most people are ^^, when the exploit was announced, people kept updating to the latest safe firmware, and latest one was 5.3.2 that time :).

Maybe I'm doing something weird, I'll try later.

I'm trying to load up SM3DW, which worked fine ages ago on loadiine 1.0 with SSB. Now when I run the Loadiine and highlight the game and press A for SSB mode, it kicks me back to MiiMaker and then I go launch SSB from disc. For some reason though, it boots SSB into the Loadiine screen again (anything chosen here causes DSI)

Did something change for SSB mode?

OK, so I set up the directory structure on my SD card according to these instructions , I have 5.3.2 Firmware , I have Nintendo Updates blocked through OpenDNS , and I was able to successfully run the loadine kernel followed by Loadine v4 through the links here.

However, after turning off the console, I can't just run Loadine again. It says "No Ksploit" so I have to run the exploit again each time, which doesn't always work so it's not exactly kid friendly. (and sometimes even after successfully running the exploit Loadine still says no Ksploit) I could try just not shutting it off, but Loadine itself freezes on the menu sometimes. So I guess what I am wondering is if we should soon see an approach that doesn't require running the exploit each and every time.

As far as actually loading the game though, I'm having trouble with that. It shows up on the list, and I select A for Super Smash Bros mode, and then I exit and launch Super Smash bros... but then Smash Bros runs (after several prompts to update are passed)

and as far as backups go: Can games I purchased and downloaded to the internal hdd be moved to the FAT32 SD card with this? Any way to back those up? I purchased more of those games than physical ones this time around only because of how cheap the cases were (seriously, they used a recycle symbol behind the disc to cut costs on the already thin plastic, and notated below that it is not recycled or recyclable) but I'd rather have these backed up than my physical discs (preferably with my purchase credentials in case the console ever dies and I can't transfer)

currently the browser exploit is the only known entrypoint, without finding a new more stable exploit, this isnt going to happen......so yeah is a crystal ball question, and yeah you always need to run the kernel exploit after rebooting
Also, the instructions were not really clear on the role that Super Smash Bros has. I mean, I have it in the drive, but at no point does it tell me to run it or anything. I'm really confused about that.
there is 2 modes to choose when in the loadiine menu smash mode or miimaker mode, with loadiine 4.0 the difference is virtually non-existant (there may be 1 or 2 games with issues between versions).....just read up if your bothered to know how/why it works, or just ignore it and carry on using it without knowing the nitty gritty details

yeah you can backup and dump your eshop games, but just plain dumps, not unique with your personal purchase details........and even if you could they wouldn't serve any purpose the ticket would be signed for that specific console, you couldn't just install them on another machine
