ok for some reason I cant even get the save data manager showing up in the homebrew. I'm using tubhax and all is showing, exttools, chhmm, yeti, etc, etc but the save data manager is not showing? what am I doing wrong?

SMDH? What thing that is?... Maybe you refer to "svdt" homebrew, and yes, "svdt" have implemented some "anti-anti restore" system!

You are absolutely wrong: "smdh" is just a general filetype used for icon and information about homebrew... Then, I suppose you refer to "save_manager" homebrew, not "smdh". And, answer about this is definitelly NO!
Edit: BTW, all homebrew's main file is on .3dsx format. If you want to have all "save_manager" homebrew, just go to OP and, at the end of this, is a link named as "save_manager(with_smdh).zip" file. Download it and put on your SD!

The same way you got the initial homebrew programs on your 3DS. It depends if you have an O3DS or N3DS.
O3DS simply take out your SD card and all that
N3DS use the SD card manager in System settings -> Data management
I've never put homebrew or anything on my N3DS, hence why I'm asking. Is there a step by step guide on how to do this?
Sorry if my ignorance baffles you, but yes. No idea how to get to the SD card, no idea how you plug it into the computer.
EDIT: So I found out how to do this wirelessly; not sure where you're supposed to drag the files into the SD.

I've been trying to inject a pokemon rumble world save into my prw game, but my game won't change. When the sdm finishes injecting, it'll kick me back to the homebrew menu. I even tried it on new leaf, and it's still not working at all. I'm on the latest firmware.

Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
