GameYOB and 3DScraft are buggy and some other old applications from 2014. I have same issue with GameYOB
the first time works but the next time not more.
Are you using the newer Homebrew Loader Smealum released over Twitter? That should fix a lot of stability issues with running the homebrew itself. GameYob runs just fine for me every time. 3DScraft needs an update to work properly with the new exploits.

Not sure if this was solved (I didn't see through the entire thread) but GameYob is crashing when launching. And yes I put a boot.3dsx on the root of the SD Card.

Also how do I get custom borders on it? Before GameYob started doing this problem I'd press A on "Select Custom Border" but nothing would show up.

Did you put the updated boot.3dsx and latest GameYob in the root of your SD?
Look here for both -> https://twitter.com/smealum/status/633838164042383361

Oh, now it's working. M'bad. Should have seen smea's twitter before posting here.

Anyways what format do custom borders need to be? Not showing up on any folder when I search for it in the most recent version

Just wondering if there's any plan to port the link cable feature to the 3DS version? It'd be really cool to play Pokemon with friends and be able to trade.

I'd like for them to fix the remaining sound issues first. I'd be surprised if there were plans for link cable emulation right now, as the feature isn't even that stable in the original DS version of GameYob.

Really, though, this is a fantastic, feature-rich, and most importantly stable emulator. Good job, guys!

Wide Screen Border support would be cool at least. Or borders with scaling enabled. It's kinda funny to me that ninjhax has a pretty stable SNES emulator but no NES and the GBC one is lacking features. oh well! thanks for giving us one at all!

It's been attempted, but I wasn't able to get the actual link communication to work.

You can still use borders with scaling enabled.

I just tried borders, apparently you did make them fit the screen! awesome!
However, when I use one with the right dimensions instead of letting it stretch, I get this:

I really like this emulator! With the n3ds ninjhax 2.0 version the sound is perfect :)

I'm having some trouble with gbc games though. The emulator hangs when I'm trying to start Wendy or Fatass Tracker. Is that already known?

Make sure your border PNG is 400x240 in size.

When using gameyob with any Pokemon Red -> Yellow save states will write to save state 0 or 1 correctly, but sometimes save state 0 will completely replace every single save state that's been done with it's state. No idea how to reproduce but it happens quite often. Might even just be with any state that it just overwrites them all for some reason.

2 questions:

What's accelermerator pad? it's greyed out
How to add cheats?

Feature suggestion:
Hotkey to trigger left shoulder button speedup always on instead of having to hold it down.

Thanks for the emulator ^~^

It allows you to play Kirby's Tilt 'n' Tumble with the touchscreen.

You need to add .cht files alongside your games:
Gameshark and Game Genie codes are supported. In the [Settings] tab you can find the option "Manage Cheats". Gameyob supports BGB .CHT files, so you need to have them in your SD in order to access the option. They must be named identically to the rom, with the extension ".cht".

Here's some places where you can start to look:
Gameboy Cheat Files
Gameboy Color Cheat Files
How to Manually Create GameYob Cheat Files
Hotkey to trigger left shoulder button speedup always on instead of having to hold it down.
It's called "FF toggle" in the "Button Mapping" option.
