Yes, the blue card is just a DS flashcart. You should be able to transfer over your games and saves with no problems. I believe as long as the flashcart is strong enough to support the emulator, it will work fine.Hey guys. New here. I used to be on top of the whole scene way back when Acekard was still a thing. I have a 3DS currently running 4.0 with my Acekard 2i, but I'd be super keen to try out a newer flashcart. I've ordered a Gateway and a gamecart which will upgrade my system to 4.1 - 4.5 (Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, US edition).
I have a couple of questions:
Is there anything in particular I should watch out for, being that I am using a 3Ds with an existing custom flashcart to port over to a new one? Should I restore everything to factory before I go ahead with the change or ... ?
- Will the blue Gateway cart work more or less like my current Acekard 2i?
- ie. will I be able to keep my existing DS game and save files?
- Will my existing emulators work on it (for GBa games)? If not, are there new ones that will?
- This may sound very noobish of me, but can I still play retail carts once I've gone through the process to get my Gateway up and running? Will my existing save files for those retail carts work too?
Yes, you will still be able to play retail carts without issue. You can play newer games via Classic Mode. Existing saves should work fine since you are on 4.X and haven't updated far enough to get the new save encryption.
There's no need to go back to factory settings before using the Gateway. After you setup emuNAND with Gateway, you may wish to format sysNAND though (this unlinks sysNAND and emuNAND), since it prevents a bunch of problems.
This is likely the fault of the SD. The faster the SD card is, the faster load times should be.I've been playing a game all on .3ds, .cia and retail format. I've noticed that loading times on the .3ds version are a lot worse; 4-7 seconds more. .cia and retail are about the same. Is this the fault of the gateway cart or micro sd used in it?
Not currently, and likely not any time soon. Ninjhax 2.0 only has userland access; kernel access is required to downgrade. There was 3 years between the 4.X and 5.0-9.2 exploits, so it's unlikely another kernel exploit will be found in the near future.I have a noob question. Actually I know there are different exploit that have access to different function of the console, but I don't know who do what.
The question is: it will be possible use ninjhax2 exploit to make a firmware downgrade ?
Thanks
